A Sneaky Purchase & WIWT

Happy Friday ladies.  Before we get onto today's outfit there's been a sneaky purchase to report on.

As soon as I saw this pretty skirt I just couldn't resist.  If you look online it looks pretty short but fear not I've got a cunning plan!  I'm going to wearing mine on my hips so it's a more respectable length.  Plus being a very dark blue & cream it's going to be go with lots in my wardrobe & will be perfect for teaming with a loose fit tee, cami or off the shoulder top on hot sunny days or ankle boots & a blazer on cooler days.  Not to mention opaques & a chunky knit come the colder months.

Zara Flounce Skirt

So I thought I'd give it, its first outing today & I've kept things pretty simple with an oversized silk blouse teamed with neutral ankle boots & a navy blazer should I need it.

  1. Good morning, Jane. I absolutely love that skirt and how you've put the outfit together. Totally unsuitable for my trunk-legs but you look gorgeously summery in it. I'm fast becoming a big fan of your blog. Thank you and have a nice day!

    1. Morning & thank you :-) I'm trying to make the most of the skirt/dress wearing weather as sadly you just don't know how long it will last for! Unfortuantely it's not as sunny today but it's very close & warm so I can just about get away with the bare legs.
Thank you also for your lovely comment. It's so lovely to hear that you're enjoying my blog so much, I'm incredibly chuffed.
      Have a lovely weekend.

    1. Thanks Linda. My boots arrived the other day & like you they were slightly too loose on my calves which I'm so gutted about as part from that they were perfect. Needless to say the hunt for grey over the knee boots is now on!
You'll have to let me know how you get on with the skirt.

    1. Oh gosh thank you! :-) The oversized shirt is so easy to wear, just tuck about half to two thirds of the front of the top into your waist band & arrange so it drapes well & the sides hang out. I also think this look looks best when teamed with a fitted bottom half of clothing.
      Hope this helps!
