Dresses For Cooler Days & WIWT

Morning ladies.  Today I thought it would be fun to look at dresses that aren't necessarily ones we'd wear when the temperatures are soaring but more for those days when its not too cold or too warm & we feel like getting the legs out.

Now whilst there's lots of ways of making more lightweight summer dresses work on cooler days (a maxi teamed with a biker jacket) or a summer dress worn under a denim jacket/oversized cardigan, if you just feel like throwing on a dress & not having to give it a second thought you're not going to go wrong with a denim dress.  Plus come the cooler months it can be worn with opaque tights & layered with a cardigan/biker jacket making it ever practical not to mention that word us women love when explaining *justifying* a purchase - useful ;-)

And here's just a few ways you can accessorise a denim dress.

1 Dress 3 Ways, My Midlife fashion, 1 dress 3 ways, boden pom pom sandals, hush leather star trainers, cocobay hipanema blue bracelet, uniqlo ones straw fedora, esprit epc denim dress, john lewis plait toaster bag, mango striped textured cardigan, john lewis pieces suede across body bag, hudson tala tan ankle boots

There's so many denim dresses on the high street at the moment I've been spoilt for choice of what to include but after much oohing & ahhing here's my top picks (just click on image for more details).

Back to today & I'm sticking with the tried & tested classic of denim with a statement timeless tuxedo shirt.

So ladies are you lover of the denim dress & if so which style or styles do you favour & most importantly how do you style yours?  Or maybe you've been thinking about investing in one but not yet taken the plunge.  If so has today's post helped or confused you further over which one to 'click the button' on?!

As always I love hearing your thoughts.  Plus don't forget to check out Boden's latest offer (see here) to grab that bargain you've been eyeing up all season!

Enjoy your day & I'll see you tomorrow.

  1. When pregnant I had one awful pair of jersey trousers, one denim pinafore dress and one going out floral dress. Suffice to say that I wore that denim pinni to death and I've had an aversion to denim dresses all these years. But looking at your post today I can see they've come a long way in 40 years so maybe now is the time to dip my toe in the water again as they are sooo tempting!

    1. Oh gosh you've reminded me of when I was pregnant & managing on just a handful of clothes during the final months...can't believe my 'baby' is soon to be 17!!
Denim dresses have certainly progressed haven't they?! The trouble is there's so many styles it's difficult to just stick with just one ;-)

  2. Oh yes, I love denim dresses. I own a front button one. I am not a big fan of denim pants. I've got two, a skinny and a boyfriend. And that's enough for me.
