Morning ladies today I thought it would be worth sharing my sales tactics to see if I've so far managed to stick to my plan of buying key pieces that will add something to those items already hanging in my wardrobe, as well as items I can wear next season.
So let's get cracking & first up is this very 'useful' (don't you just love that word?!) waistcoat, which I would describe more as a coatigan. It's gorgeously soft & having found the grey coatigan I bought last September incredibly useful I think this is going to prove a great multi-tasker. Worn loose as shown or even belted I'm planning on mainly teaming it with jeans & leather leggings.

Now I've been on the look out for a snakeskin effect leather bag for a while & seeing as this one was reduced by nearly 50% & is the perfect size for just about fitting all my essentials in, the button was clicked in an instant. This like leopard print will just add some interest to simple outfits & should never date.
Finally a couple of investment buys in the form of jackets, which we all know I love & have a HUGE weakness for but these are definitely sticking to my plan of adding a little something to all the seperates in my wardrobe plus several jackets have been sold on eBay to help fund them :-)
A wool blend navy military jacket is just timeless & I'm thinking will look stunning when teamed with one of my white ruffle shirts.
And having fully embraced the military trend with my navy investment purchase in the Spring there was only one place this black number was going to end up - yes a lot more pricey than I normally pay but I'm hoping it's going to prove it's worth & like I say once I deduct the jackets I'd sold to make room for this not quite as bad on the bank balance....phew!
And keeping with the theme of jackets, after spotting this fab sales jacket yesterday (see here), I thought I'd share with you some other top jacket buys currently available in the sale & ones that are generally available in most sizes. As with my purchases above a jacket really can be worn all year round including winter if layered with a thermal & a few thin layers including a chunky scarf & need I say anymore with the summer we've had?!! Plus of course as I've done this season it's the perfect time to invest in one that might normally have been totally outside your price bracket. Just click on images for more details :-)
Back to today & I'm going for simple tailoring for a cheeky Sunday lunch out to celebrate 23 years ago to the day when hubby & I first met & had our first date :-)

So ladies how's your sales shopping going? Have you hit the sales hard & taken advantage of all the great bargins to update your summer wardrobe? Or have you, like me, looked for items that will stand you in good stead come the arrival of Autumn? Or perhaps you've not clicked that button & are instead busy polishing that halo?!
As always I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Have a fab day & I'll see you in the morning.
Ooh I've had my eye on the Zara handmade waistcoat for a few days, been in my basket a couple of times too and then seeing your post this morning I've decided it's fate and it is now ordered! I've also bought over the knee grey autograph boots with discount of 25% and ankle leopard print boots and caramel midi pleated skirt so all good buys for next season, love your blog x
ReplyDeleteOoh that's definitely fate Chantel, I hope you love it. I can see me living in mine as its so easy to throw on.
DeleteSounds like you've made some great purchases for Autumn. I keep getting tempted to break out one of my new jackets but am determined to keep them for the coming season.
Have a lovely week & thank you.
Jane xx
