Morning ladies, so before we get onto today I just had to share with you a couple of gems I spotted in Marks & Spencer yesterday that are simply stunning but be warned they're part of their Limited Edition collection so I'm guessing sizes aren't going to be around for long. I've got a size up to normal on in the blouse as they didn't have my normal size in stock. Having looked online for the link I've also just discovered they do it in navy to, which I'm thinking would look amazing paired with the below skirt.
Sizing seems true to size in the skirt - which is just stunning. Something completely different for me but I loved it the instant I spotted in store....I don't know you pop in for a quick bite to eat with hubby during your lunch break & you walk out with a stunning brocade skirt! I'm thinking this will look amazing with my new navy biker jacket & a simple camisole underneath.
Back to today & I'm breaking out a recent purchase from Topshop, that is the most stunning soft shade of blue that just so happens to match my studded belt perfectly :-)

Our last Saturday without the normal karate run so our son is heading off to Sheffield to spend the weekend with friends from holiday & we're planning a date day & off out for a lazy lunch followed by the cinema before settling down with a takeaway to enjoy the start of Strictly.
I don't know about you but I just love this time of year & the start of cosy nights in by the fire & I reckon this season of Strictly is going to be brilliant they've certainly got some great celebrities lined up. Anyone want to make a prediction of who's going to win?!

Enjoy your day & I'll be back bright & early in the morning.

Wow, Jane, you've come up with some beautiful pieces. The skirt is a show stopper and the detail on that periwinkle blouse is so pretty, thanks for bringing it up to the camera. Your WIWT is just perfect. The attention to detail is so you, MMF.
ReplyDeleteAutumn makes me panic at the loss of summer, thank goodness the Beeb gives me Strictly to quell my nerves! I love the optimism and fresh hope of Spring.
Just mentioned to hubby your bit about Strictly. I don't know who's in it but hubby mentioned Ed Balls, don't think he'll grab the glitterball somehow! We're partying tonight so thanks for reminding me to record it. I'm thinking of the field day the press will have with his surname when he gets it horribly wrong!
Morning Mary & thank you the skirt & blouse are just stunning in their detailing & reasonably priced to.
DeleteI always love the arrival of the different seasons although I will miss the feeling of the warmth of the sunshine on my skin come the depths of winter - although if we get a dry Autumn/Indian Summer it would just be perfect - sunshine in the day & cosy nights of an evening :-)
Enjoy your party this evening & catching up on Strictly later in the week. You've made me laugh about your press headlines....hadn't thought about that with Ed Balls but yes you're quite right - brilliant!

Wow that skirt is stunning I'm so sad as I'm so short it just would be too long! It's a shame they don't do a short version - it's looks fantastic on you xx
ReplyDeleteThank you. Depending on your height it might be worth trying the skirt to see if it falls right as a maxi on you. I just love this type of skirt in a longer length worn with a classic white tailored shirt so might be worth giving it a whirl.

What a gorgeous skirt Jane. I am very tempted...again!! Enjoy your evening. It really feels like Autumn is now upon us doesn't it? I love this time of year. Sue xx
ReplyDeleteIt's a real beauty Sue & it's something I've decided I'm not going to keep for best but instead will just enjoy wearing it whatever the occasion. I just love the way it falls & that it's something completely different to everything else hanging in my wardrobe.
DeleteHope you had a lovely night too.

Hi! I'm loving that topshop shirt and thinking about getting it but I'm not sure about the size. How is the fit? My shoulders are quite broad... Love the blog!
ReplyDeleteHi & thank you :-) I'd say the fit is pretty much true to size but if you're a little unsure I'd recommend ordering your normal size & a size above so you can compare.
DeleteHope this helps.
