Morning ladies for this month's style steal I just had to recreate this outfit that Heidi Klum is wearing as it's definitely a look I could wear with similar pieces in my wardrobe & is an outfit that I just love - simple, classic with that little bit of detailing to stop the outfit looking plain.
So without further ado here's how I'd re-create the look with finds currently on the high street.
Starting with the one piece of clothing that totally makes this outfit & that's the military coat. I actually already own this beauty, in fact I bought it back in August as I just love the timelessness of the design. Plus it's a great midi length so it doesn't feel as overwhelming as some long coats can.
Then moving onto the polo neck jumper. I'd advise sizing up in this as I love an oversized polo neck teamed with jeans like Heidi's wearing. It will even look great worn over leather leggings or a simple 'A' line skirt or even cigarette trousers & ballet pumps/trainers. I've got a cheap as chips one from Primark hanging in my wardrobe that doesn't owe me a penny that I bought to see if it really was that useful & after several winters I can vouch for the fact that I'll certainly be updating mine when it wears out & also investing in something a little more expensive as they really are a fab wardrobe staple.
Moving onto the jeans & I just love the colour & style of these turned up relaxed slim legged ones. This shade of denim is just perfect for teaming with black.
And finally if you're on the look out for a pair of block heel ankle boots this winter, what about these?! I'm just loving that extra little bit of detailing, which will really lift the simplest of outfits.
Back to today & I'm bringing out my new snake print pleated midi & layering it over some cashmere & a blazer. With a supersized cashmere scarf for added warmth.
Jacket - Hanellei
Jumper - H&M

Cashmere Scarf - Zara
Boots - Mango

Jumper - Boden
Boots - Miss KG
So ladies what do you think? Is Heidi's look something you can see yourself recreating? Perhaps it's an outfit that you can shop your wardrobe & easily recreate? Or perhaps you like the look in principal but would make a few changes? If so how would you tweak it to suit you? As always I'd love to hear your thoughts.

ReplyDeleteAfter 5 difficult years. The sort that comes to us all as our parents age life finally settled and the state of my wardrobe came into focus. I decided that I deserved a little pleasure and was going to update it entirely. Five black bin liners later and numerous trips to the charity shop I was ready to start. I looked for online help and found you. Thanks to you I have whole new wardrobe. Some direct steals like the snakeskin skirt above and some items I found either using the codes you provided or from my new found confidence. So thank you. Thank you so very much.
I wear my snakeskin skirt with a beatiful off the shoulder jumper I found at women's society by yaya. Teamed it with black suede kitten heeled boots from m and s and a military buttoned blazer from mango. So close is it to what you posted this morning that it gave me a little thrill. I'm back to me and although I'm left with the sadness we all experience I don't feel any guilt about the pleasure. We all deserve a little joy no matter where we find it.
Yours gratefully

Bought the French connection jumpsuit Jane. Wore it to a wedding with a camel cape and plan on wearing it for a girlie night out with a biker jacket. Great fit and comfortable! Love your look today as always!
