Stylish Festive Knitwear + WIWT - Stars & Pleather

Morning ladies so today marks the start of the countdown to Christmas - dare I say that Christmas Day is actually only 5 weeks away....eek!!!  Plus next weekend will bring the arrival of Black Friday (25th) & Cyber Monday (28th) where there's going to be discounts galore.

So starting from today I'm going to be sharing with you my Christmas inspiration & gift guides, showcasing my top gift & festive decoration ideas for all budgets & catering for all members of our family & friends.  Plus of course I'll also be publishing a list on Friday with all the discount codes & links you'll be needing to enable you to shop the bargains.

So for my first festive post I thought I'd start with Christmas themed jumpers.

Now when I say 'Christmas themed' I use the term loosely as I don't know about you but I can't quite feel the love for the full on flashing nosed Rudolf jumper!  No I have to admit my heart was very heavy last year when my mum announced that for her pre-Christmas get together everyone was expected to wear a Christmas jumper.  Personally I just don't get why you'd want to invest let alone wear one of these jumpers when you have the opportunity to get dressed up & drag out your glad rags from the back of your wardrobe.  In the end I wore a jumper I'd bought that had the slogan 'written in the stars' as quite frankly that's as Christmas themed as I'm ever going to get.  Which got me thinking I can't be the only one out there who thinks the same & with Christmas jumper parties seeming to be getting more of a thing I thought I'd share with you jumpers that I would class as Christmas themed but that could also be worn the rest of the year to & aren't going to give Bridget Jones a run for her money!

Back to today & it's a quiet one at home for us.  So time to bring out my new Marks & Spencer chunky knit jumper (don't forget there's 20% off all clothing, beauty, home & furniture here with code WT6F29) & of course is another fab jumper for loosely falling within the theme of Christmas knitwear.

So ladies what are your thoughts on the whole Christmas jumper debate?  Are you a yea or a nay?!  Yes I know they're a bit of fun & a great way to get a party started but I also know I wouldn't feel that good wearing one & that isn't great when your off out to a social event.  Plus I just don't see the point in buying something to wear maybe once/twice a year that you don't even love.  But perhaps that's just me?!  Although I'd love to know what you think.

In the meantime don't forget it's the last but one day to take advantage of the 20% off at Marks & Spencer, just click here & use code WT6F29 at checkout (for inspiration click here) & the last day to grab 25% off everything over at Jack Wills, just click here & use code FRIENDS25.

Enjoy your Sunday ladies & hopefully if you're faced with the dilemma of having to wear a Christmas jumper but not feeling the love for the tinsel Christmas tree one you've spotted on the high street today's post will have given you some food for thought.

Back in the morning with my some more Christmas inspiration.

  1. I'm beginning to suspect you have a camera in my home. The day I went shopping for new underwear at Victoria secret you posting an article on lingerie. The day after I spotted the Xmas jumper below for my rabbit mad daughter you post about Xmas jumpers. As for me such articles of clothing come under the heading why?

    1. Great minds Susan :-)
I'm all for a bit of sparkle & stars but fully on flashing Rudolphs are a definite no for me!
      Enjoy your Sunday.

  2. Oh Bridget has got a lot to answer for! I don't get invited to parties anymore (age, not embarrassing drunken incident) so I haven't even come close to even thinking about one but your selection look totally wearable through winter.

    1. Thanks Mary & talking about Bridget have you seen the latest film? If not I'd highly recommend it such a brilliant film that's just as good (if not better) than the previous two!
