Morning ladies, I think it's safe to say we all love a stripe or two & will also always have room for another one or two stripes in our wardrobes. So today I thought we'd take a peek at stripe tops that have that little bit of extra detailing. Whether it be a ruffled collar, a sequin or two, some frill detailing or a slogan, that little bit of extra detailing will always set our hearts a flutter & of course make that justification of the new purchase that little bit easier ;-)
I've put together my favourite picks from the high street above & as always you just need to click on any of the images for further details.
However, if your stripe addiction is getting out of hand or the purse strings are remaining firmly pulled due to the excesses of Christmas & the January sales then I've being doing a spot of customising to a few of the bretons hanging in my wardrobe. Something that's really simple, costs practically nothing & has transformed some of my humble bretons into one offs! In fact I'm wearing one of my DIY projects today.
The breton I'm wearing is just a basic one from Uniqlo (similar here), which I've then added this sequin heart to. The heart is actually an iron on patch, so there's no sewing required, although I've also added a few running stitches to make sure it's nice & secure.
In fact I love it so much I've also customised another breton.
And then I've taken my customising a step further by customising this jumper with these star elbow patches. Again iron on that I've secured with a few stitches to be extra secure.
You may also recall that I previously customised a canvas tote with some iron on angel wings (see here). Well if you fancy doing something similar then I've also found these these angel wings, which look more or less identical.

So ladies are you a stripe addict with no signs of getting the addiction under control? Or perhaps you just don't see what all the fuss is about & prefer to avoid anything of a striped nature? I'd love to hear your thoughts & if anyone's tempted to order some of the iron on sequin patches for a spot of customising - seriously it really is extremely simple & takes virtually no time at all!
Happy hump day ladies. Have a fab Wednesday & as always I'll see you in the morning.

Great ideas for customising tops Jane - I must give it a try. I love Breton tops and really like the red and white stripe one you're wearing from Uniqlo.
