Porter Heel - 15% off with code CHIC217
Morning ladies. I thought we'd start the month with a confession of a few new wardrobe purchases as I've not done one for ages. Mainly because I tend to try & confess as soon as I 'click the button' but also I've been making a few back into stock sales purchases so sizes have been very limited. However, with all the recent discount codes that have been flying around over recent weeks I've taken full advantage of the savings & made a few purchases on pieces I either wanted to upgrade in my wardrobe as well as some timeless staples.
Firstly I loved the above sandals when I featured them originally on the blog a couple of weeks ago & seeing as the heel is wearable in terms of being block & not too high with 15% off the button was clicked. I was a little worried that being black they maybe bulky & heavy but I can report back that they're stunning & definite keepers & I can't wait to wear them.
Leather Biker Jacket - 15% off with code CHIC217
This next item was definitely an investment piece but having owned a black Zara one for a good few years I know that I get my wear out of a biker jacket throughout the year & I've been on the lookout for a better quality one with a collar (which I personally prefer). Cue the 15% discount code & a good old wardrobe clear out & hours spent listing on eBay, I'm now the proud owner of this classic. As you'd expect when paying that little bit more the leather is buttery soft & I really think it's going to be one of those pieces that gets even better with wear.
Next up is a denim purchase. Having found a love for cropped kickflare trousers over the winter when I spotted that French Connection now do a cropped kickflare version of their rebound jeans (which by the way are brilliant & totally hold their shape), with a 20% discount code doing the rounds it was a no-brainer & yes they're as lovely as you'd expect, with super soft denim.
Now we all know I love a bit of detailing & ruffles are no expectation so armed with a discount code + a voucher the above beauty was purchased for less than half price :-) It's made from a gorgeous chambray material that will be perfect for teaming with white jeans.
Now I think I may have already confessed to the above purchase but I wanted to share it again as it just has that extra detailing I love. A top that transforms a simple outfit into something that little bit more special & styled.
Talking of tops this simple boho embroidered top will be ideal for throwing over a pair of jeans or shorts come the warmer months.
Plus I couldn't resist the detailing on this beauty either.
Finally as I mentioned above I've had a good old wardrobe sort out & I'm determined to mainly keep my wardrobe stocked with timeless classics (although the odd fun purchase is always going to creep in) & what better than a classic tailored white shirt for dressing up or down. The fit of this really is spot on.
Back to today & I'm teaming an ancient silk blouse with my camo maxi & adding a simple belt to give a little more definition & help finish the look.

So how's everyone else been doing on the purchase front? Any purchases you care to share? Like me, have you found all the discount codes too hard to resist & invested in a few purchases you've been eyeing up for a while? Or have you been too busy polishing that halo & managed to abstain?! I'd love to hear what's made it into your wardrobe this past month or what you've got your eye on for future purchases. If you follow me on Instagram (here) you may have seen I uploaded a couple of summer dresses to Instastories, the second of which (see here) I'm also debating whether to keep.
Enjoy your Sunday ladies & as always I'll see you in the morning.
