Morning ladies today I wanted to talk slogan knitwear. I think we all know & love the Bella Freud beauties & if budget allows you're not going to go wrong with one of these jumpers but equally you don't have to break the bank to participate in this trend. As you can see above I've put together my top picks from this season's offerings with hopefully something for all budgets & as always just click on any of the images for all the details.
For me this kind of jumper is perfect for casual days with jeans & trainers as much as it is dressed up under a blazer & paired with either a leather or lace pencil skirt or even worn with a biker & maxi skirt. They have the ability to make any outfit look that little bit more on trend without necessarily wearing something outside of your comfort zone & let's face it who doesn't love a crew neck jumper come the cooler weather. Plus of course they're perfect for perhaps dressing down a slightly more smarter bottom half - think tulle skirt & a biker, or even cigarette pants with trainers, both looks that will look effortlessly cool without much thought or need for accessories making them ideal on days where you don't have much time or inclination to give to what you're wearing.
Talking of simple dressing you can't beat a maxi dress for a throw on & go look. We're off out today for a family get together for an early birthday celebration for my mum, so perfect timing to bring out my new maxi dress to play, which I've styled with an old favourite studded belt.

So ladies what are your thoughts on the statement knit? Are you a lover or do you perhaps need a little bit more persuasion? Perhaps you're saving up/eBaying like mad to get a Bella Freud. If you do have your eye on one of these but need to save up/wait for the sales then make sure you sign up to all the newsletters/alerts with the online retailers that stock them. As if you're really lucky & quick off the draw you might even be able pick up a sales bargain like I did in the summer after an email alert. Hubby thought I was mad 'clicking the button' on a jumper I had no intention of wearing till Autumn but the saving was so worth it & I can't wait to bring it out to play.
Enjoy your day ladies & as always I'll see you in the morning.
