What I've Been Buying + WIW Day 6

Monsoon maris blouse

Morning ladies it's that time of the month again to confess what monthly purchases I've been making.

I'm pleased to report that there's not that many this month & those that have made it into my wardrobe are all timeless additions that can be worn all year long so hopefully they should all earn their keep pretty quickly.  In fact two of the items have aready been worn.

So what have I been buying?  Well firstly the above stunning statement blouse.  We all know I'm a sucker for a frill, ruffle or a bit of detailing & this blouse certainly had me at hello due to it's collar alone.  Perfect for wearing on it's own with skinny jeans & heels as much as it is worn under a blazer or biker jacket.

And other stories maxi shirt dress

My next purchase is the above shirt dress.  The cut & fall of this dress is just perfection & the internal pattern adds some much needed interest to prevent the dress looking too plain or boring.  I've already worn it with a statement belt & heeled ankle boots but equally I'm looking forward to dressing it down with a biker jacket & trainers.

John lewis heat generating thermal camisole

This next item for me is a winter necessity & that's the glamorous thermal.  Each year I always struggle with finding thermal camisoles that will keep me warm, don't feel like I'm wearing a granny's vest & also low enough to not show underneath a shirt or low cut 'V' neck.  Well this year I think I might have cracked it with the above heat generating thermals.  Simple & not frumpy, gloriously soft to the touch & low enough in the neckline not to peek out.  Plus they have great reviews so I've 'clicked the button' on one in each colour as thermal vests are a daily necessity for me once the temperatures drop.

My final purchase are the above skinny jeans.  After buying a couple of these in different shades in the sale during the summer I've decided to invest in this classic shade of denim.  If you love skinny jeans as much as I do then you have to give these a whirl.  They have to be the most flattering pair I've tried, plus they're available in a wide range of colours, in three different lengths & I just love how they finish just above/on my ankle bone.

Back to today & we're due to fly home later so we're desperately saving those last few precious hours of sunshine & warmth.  Naturally for a long flight home today's look is all about layers & comfort so here's what I'm planning on wearing together with this fabulous cashmere travel wrap, which if you use code MMIDFASH20 will get you 20% off everything plus free UK deliveries.

So not that many purchases this month.  How about you, any purchases to report or have you been too busy polishing that halo?  I'd love to hear.  Plus if you fancy seeing my actual outfit for today you can see it over on my Instagram account & Facebook page.

Enjoy your Sunday & I'll see you tomorrow.
