Morning ladies today it's time for my monthly top ten 'new into store' picks that each cost under £50. All pieces that have caught my eye & are perfect for incorporating with all the basics most of us have hanging in our wardrobe.
I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to the brighter nights & Spring, which considering we're already nearly at the end of January won't be far away :-) In fact it's always at this time of year that I start subconsciously adding more pops of colour to my outfits, in particular red. Which may just be because I know the brighter nights are coming or perhaps I'm getting fed up of my winter wardrobe but whatever the reason it's a great way of breathing new life into your winter wardrobe.
If like me you're a lover of neutrals then a red bag, or some brighter/patterned footwear is a perfect way of adding a pop of colour without feeling like you're straying too far from your comfort zone & really does add a certain je ne sais quoi to your look. As well as accent pops of red, I certainly seem to have a thing for sparkly footwear & the older I get the more sparkly the better (I'm blaming it on Cinderella ;-) ) but seriously you'd be surprised at just how useful the glitter pointed ballet pumps I've featured above would be.
Or how about a slogan or two? Slogan tops are not going anywhere this coming season so a sweatshirt for more casual days or the stripe slogan tee for rocking under a blazer are perfect ways of incorporating the trend. And for wardrobe staples these skinny jeans look a great colour & fit. Or if you've not already invested in a khaki shacket then now's the time. Layer with a cashmere poloneck underneath whilst it's colder then a sweatshirt or breton once Spring arrives. As always just click on any of the above images for further details.

You know, I'm so annoyed with myself! I have been wanting a Leopard coat for a while now, and in the fall Gap had some that were very reasonably priced and it fit me quite well. I made the mistake of NOT buying it because I was worried that my town is too casual to wear it. Huge regret, not pulling the trigger, because it is sold out now. Oh well, there's hopefully next fall and I won't resist this time! Yours looks great and I love how you styled it!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that always the case Brenda. But hopefully there'll be a better one at an even more purse friendly price waiting for you this coming fall. Although you never know if it's meant to be you might still find one lurking at Gap just waiting for you ;-)

ReplyDeleteSorry Linda mine is a few years old I'm afraid. I have linked to one above that's the nearest in style I can find. Hope this helps.
