It's no secret that The White Company is one of my favourite brands for effortless & timeless style so whenever they have a sale or discount code I always take a peek.  Of course it's easy to get tempted in the sales but if you try & stick to investing in pieces that can be worn for the coming season ahead & also upgrading items that you currently get a lot of wear from but need updating then you shouldn't go wrong.

Starting with the above grey patch pocket jacket.  How gorgeous is this.  I just love how it's been styled with a classic breton & I think this would prove to be a very useful addition to any wardrobe.  A real timeless classic that makes a great alternative to a shacket & is especially ideal for this time of year when there's still the cold nip in the air.

Now I've been lucky enough to be able to pick a few pieces from their sale to style.  So what did I pick?  Well I'm actually wearing the pieces today along with my boyfriend jeans that I previously featured in my top picks from their SS18 collection here.  

As I've already mentioned my love for pretty white tops, it probably won't come as any surprise that I couldn't resist this lovely dobby gathered round neck blouse blouse.  Ideal for throwing on with a pair of jeans & the neckline is perfect for wearing under a jacket or two.  In terms of sizing I'm wearing an 8 & would say it runs true to size.  As you can see from the photos the top has a slightly loose fit so no worry about it clinging to any lumps & bumps & what you can't see from the photos is the ¾ length sleeves.

My second pick was this gorgeous leather tote.  Perfect for holding anything & everything & made from a lovely soft leather in the most beautiful shade of grey.  I reckon this bag is the sort that will get even better with age & use & being grey will go with most things hanging in my wardrobe.

And finally having featured this grey coatigan in my top picks post, this was my first choice as I just love the tailored fit & white edge detailing.  Having read a review online I went down a size with this as I didn't want the coatigan to look too oversized.  It's such a pretty knitted coat that will also be a great useful & practical piece.  I've turned back the cuffs in the photos above for a little more detailing & I also plan on wearing it with vintage brooch in future posts.  Style as shown above or skinny jeans & a simple cami/tee.  Or for a smarter look it will also look great for work teamed with some cigarette pants.
