Morning ladies, most of us are probably all on the countdown to summer holidays & whether we're jetting off somewhere hot & foreign or planning a staycation one item of clothing we'll all be planning on packing is swimwear.

So let's get started on my top picks starting with this stunning kaftan, which has gorgeous embroidery & beading around the neckline together with tassel detailing around the edges. For me this is a real wow factor piece that will go with most swimwear no matter what the colour & looks perfect when teamed with neutral accessories. In terms of sizing I'm wearing a small & due to the drawstring tie, which is just below the bust you can have the kaftan as fitted as you like.

One of things I really love about Coco Bay's website is that it's full of helpful information & lists all the same coloured swimwear together making it easy to mix & match not only your sizes but styles to. Together with detailed information on the fit of each item & whether a particular piece fits true to size or comes small/large. Plus they're always really happy to help with any questions via email or over the phone.
On their advice I sized up to a size 10 in the swimwear I've picked out for today's post as the items all come up a little small & I have to say the fit is perfect. So definitely be guided by their online advice & if you can't find an answer to a specific question contact them, they really do know what will suit & work. I probably wouldn't have initially picked the above bikini if they hadn't suggested it as I would have thought the tie detailing too fussy but from the moment I put it on I loved it.

My personal preference, as with clothing in general, is to pick plain coloured swimwear that has a little bit of detailing as opposed to bright patterned pieces but no matter what you're preference Coco Bay have lots to choose from.
Talking of plain pieces how timeless is the above beach shirt? Make from a gorgeous crinkle cotton it's perfect for packing without the worry of creasing & is extremely light to wear. Plus if like me you hate having to put tight clothing over your head in the heat with the stickiness of suncream this is fully buttoned down the front & the sleeves can either be worn up as shown above or rolled down for extra protection from the sun. I'm wearing a size small, which gives a nice loose & relaxed fit.

Of course looking good by the pool isn't just all about swimwear there's also the accessories to consider & these gorgeous gold Havaianas are perfect for wearing during the day as well as the evening. I find this kind of footwear perfect for packing on holiday - comfy, no leather soles so no slipping on wet tiles by the pool & ideal for dressing up or down, especially if like me you wear a lot of maxi dresses/skirts whilst you're away. Plus they're true in size, I'm wearing the UK6-7s & I'm generally a UK7.
One thing that can really take a lot of room up in your case are beach towels, especially if travelling as a family so you might want to consider these towels, which have a thin towelling layer to the underside, are fast drying, lightweight & even have a discrete pocket for storing any valuables. Plus they can even be used as sarong so they make a great multi-tasking product.

Talking of sarongs this lovely halterneck dress can also be worn around the waist. You might recall that I picked the blue version of this last year & loved it so much I just couldn't resist the white version. Easy to throw on & lovely & cool to wear when enjoying lunch poolside or a cheeky cocktail. Again I'm wearing the small & would say this would fit a UK 8-10.

Now if you've seen my past posts for Coco Bay you'll know I'm a huge fan of the Kiara Bustier Bikini Top - super flattering & stays put without the need for the detachable straps, even when swimming. In fact I love it so much I've got several different colours! However, it's currently in the process of being phased out by Seafolly so if you're a fan Coco Bay still have some stock here. To replace the Kiara Seafolly are introducing the above Quilted Bustier Top, which having tried it on feels & fits very similar to the Kiara so I'm not planning on packing the detachable straps & instead of the pleat detailing had a quilted design, which is perfect for teaming with their Pleated Hipster Bikini Bottoms.
Finally how cute is the above beach bag - not as deep as ones I've used in the past but I prefer that as I no longer need to take a whole host of goggles, water rings/inflatables/toys down to the pool/beach & instead it's now a case of sunglasses, books, suncream & water & I don't know about you but with a larger bag I seem to constantly spend time routing around trying to find what I'm looking for & also tidying it up after the boys have been rummaging inside to get whatever they need & have left everything in chaos! This however is large enough to fit everything in but not too deep that everything gets lost plus the structured sides means I can stand things up & they stay standing.....can you tell I'm a bit of a neat freak?!!!
Sadly our summer holiday is a few weeks off yet so instead of donning a bikini today's outfit is all about letting Bet back out of her box with a large splash of leopard love.

Cute looks, Jane! Especially love the first one-- the caftan-- looks like pure summer to me! I used to be a swimsuit girl, but now wear a tankini and swim shorts.
