Morning ladies today I thought we'd talk sales as several retailers have now launched their summer sales & those that haven't will be doing so shortly.
It can be very hard to resist 'clicking' the button come sales time especially when there's great savings to be made but I do try (although may not always succeed!) to stick to a few simple rules I've set myself over the past few years. My main rule is to try & buy pieces that can generally be worn all year round - such as maxi skirts that can be layered up or down, slogan/cashmere knits & accessories that will add some impact & personality to some of my plainer more classic pieces. With my second rule being to try & secure some higher end timeless sales buys that due to their reductions cost around the same as full priced items on the high street. By following these couple of rules I've had some great steals over the past few seasons, with some of those purchases coming from sites such as Net-A-Porter, Matches & My Theresa. Of course not all pieces are going to have been reduced to high street prices but it is worth making a little wish list if pieces do catch your eye & are out of budget as larger reductions will come in the further into the sales we go & you never know you could get lucky.
I've put together some of my top picks from the higher end sales above & as always just click on any of the images for further details. In fact I may have just 'clicked' on this, which I'm thinking will be ideal with flats for holidays but can also be dressed up with heels.
