Morning ladies, it's time for this month's post in collaboration with Marks & Spencer & I thought today I'd focus on pieces that are going to be perfect for transitioning from Summer to Autumn. All picks that are bound to prove hits of the coming season & are timeless additions that you'll find yourself reaching for time & time again.
So lets jump straight in & start with this stunning midi dress. Now a lot of us have a weakness for a star print, so this dress gets a tick straight away. Add on the gorgeous ruched detailing on the sleeves & the pop of colour with the side stripes & you've got a fab go to dress that's perfect for dressing up or down. I personally can see this working perfectly with a biker & trainers for a stylish everyday look.
Moving onto a timeless trench that makes a great transitional item of clothing, which can easily be dressed up or down. Wear for the office with cigarette pants or a midi dress/pencil skirt then of a weekend team with a breton, boyfriend jeans, trainers & a statement cross body bag.
Talking of pops of colour how lovely does the above red blazer look. Perfect for teaming with all those wardrobe neutrals.
Moving onto shirts & starting with a favourite print of mine that's literally going to be everywhere next season. Pair with a leather skirt or cigarette pants for a smarter look or team with jeans as shown above.
More stars with the above long sleeve shirt that would equally look great worn under a blazer or biker jacket.
Then for timeless style how pretty is this pale pink silk shirt. Ideal for throwing on with a pair of skinny jeans & heels.
Now no wardrobe should be without a lace trim camisole. Perfect for pairing with a maxi skirt or boyfriend jeans during the summer or wearing underneath a blazer for a night out come the cooler weather.
Talking of Autumn I just can't get enough of cashmere jumpers & Marks have to be one of my favourite places to shop for them. Whilst it's always nice to have some timeless neutrals you can't beat a couple of statement cashmere jumpers like the above star one.
Or this leopard print version that looks fab paired with a leather skirt.
Talking of skirts I just love the look of the above ruffle midi skirt. I'd personally wear it with trainers & a biker jacket & finish the look off with a simple tee.
Then moving onto trousers, there's a few key styles are perfect for styling up or down. I personally have a real thing for cropped kick flare trousers like the above that happen to come in 3 different lengths.
As well as cropped slim leg trousers that can as easily be dressed up for work with ballet pumps as much as they can be dressed down with trainers.
And finally a pair of straight legged jeans are ideal for a stylish weekend look. Style with a blazer, breton & ballet pumps for timeless style or wear with a biker jacket & trainers for running errands.
Talking of ballet pumps how stunning are these camel toe pumps. These definitely need further investigation on our return from holidays.
Together with these kitten heel slingbacks. Wear with boyfriends jeans & a cashmere crew neck jumper for a laid back look or pair with a blazer, lace trim cami & skinny jeans for evening.
And finally how lovely are these grey flat ankle boots. These are sure to sell out fast so grab yours now whilst they're still available.
Back to today & it's the day before we head off on holiday, so needless to say there's a hundred & one things to do including cleaning the house from top to bottom. Which I know from mentioning in the past lots of us do when we're jetting off on holiday. It's madness isn't it, as there's always so much to do but I just like the feeling that all the housework is done & the house shipshape ready for our return & the mountain of washing that we'll bring back with us!
So today it's all about a simple outfit that's comfy & practical.
Top - H&M
Bag - Sand & Salt
Jeans - Zara
Sandals - IRO
Shop My Style
Top - ASOS
Bag - Hush
Jeans - Mango
Sandals - Raid
So ladies spot anything that's caught your fancy for the coming season ahead, or are you still to much in summer mode to even contemplate clicking any buttons? Me I love nothing better than all the new into store picks that are starting to come in & will happily while away a few hours on holiday whilst enjoying the sunshine planning key pieces I want to add to my wardrobe & Marks have started that ball rolling so hubby beware!!!
Right I'd better get on with that 'to do' list. Goodness knows how little sleep we'll get tonight but it will all be worth it & hey who needs sleep when you've got a sunlounger with your name on it?! Roll on siesta o'clock :-)
Have a great day & I'll be back as always in the morning.

Hello Jane
ReplyDeleteI have already eyed up several of your suggestions, even bought the turn up jeans. Be warned the animal print Limited Edition blouse runs very large width wise. I currently have my eye on the matching animal print cardigan to the jumper you have suggested. Great minds and all that.
Hope you all have a lovely holiday.
Marianne
Hi Marianne thanks so much for the tip about the fit about the leopard blouse & definitely great minds about the picks. Must admit I'm absolutely loving the fact there's so much leopard print about for next season already. My inner Bet is going to be in her element :-)
