Morning ladies today I wanted to update you on a few new beauty products I've recently been sent to try. Firstly something I've been meaning to treat myself to & that's a silk pillowcase. Now I've been reading a lot over recent months about how beneficial a silk pillowcase can be to both hair & skin, so you can imagine my delight when Jasmine Silk recently got in touch to see if I'd be interested in trying one of their pillowcases, as I'd still not got round to 'clicking that button'.
One of the reasons I was so keen to try a silk pillowcase was because of the benefits to both skin & hair as not only does the silk help your skin retain it's natural moisture, it also enables it to look more refreshed, less wrinkled plus it's naturally hypoallergenic. On top of this it also helps prevent that great look of bed head!
Made from 100% Charmeuse Mulberry the pillowcases are temperature regulating & highly beneficial for anyone that suffers from eczema, as well as being machine washable & can even be tumble dried on a cool heat.
With all those benefits what's not to love, plus I have to say the first thing I noticed when using it was how luxurious it felt & during the recent heatwave it's been lovely & cool to lie on, which has in turn helped with my sleep. So a definite thumbs up from me!

Moving onto a Vitamin C serum next that contains Rose Water, Water, Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerine, Phenoxyethanol & Marine Collagen & is designed to leave skin glowing, smoother & tighter. I've been using the serum for approximately 4 weeks now & whilst it warns that you might at first notice a little irritation (due to the high levels of Vitamin C) that will disappear within a few days, I have to say I didn't experience this. The only thing I did notice was that if I didn't wash my hands after application the palms were slightly stained in a light self tanning kind of way. Like I say I've been using this for a few weeks & I absolutely love it, so much so I've ordered a second bottle. After a few days of applying the serum twice daily my skin definitely felt softer & in the last week or so my fine lines seem less noticeable. So definitely a product that's worth a try plus it also makes a great primer!
Then onto a couple of new Caudalie products, firstly their Vinosource S.O.S. Thrist-Quenching Serum. Which is a non-oily dehydration relief serum that contains organic grape water, Hyaluronic acid & anti-oxidant Polyphenois, that is designed to continually diffuse water to restore your skin's moisturise balance, leaving it feeling refreshed, hydrated & supple. Which I can vouch for as I've been applying to the face & neck both of a morning & evening for a few weeks now & my skin feels beautifully soft.
Whilst on holiday I'm also planning on adding their Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet to my skincare routine as this gel-cream with calm, cool & soothe my skin after a day in the heat & sun & will help to preserve long-term hydration, as well as calm any redness.
Plus at the moment Caudalie have a great offer on & if you buy any two Vinosource products before the end of August, apply discount code BOTTLE2018 & you'll get one of the above free eco-friendly water bottles that will keep your hot drinks hot for 12 hours & cool drinks cold for 24 hours.
Finally some new hair products that I've been sent from Josh Wood.
Now I'm unfortunately at that stage of life where I notice my grey hairs popping through quicker than I notice the fact my hair needs cutting & in order to help eek out the time between colours have been using a powder compact for a while to help cover the greys when going out. So I was keen to trial an all in one application as whilst I love my old product I do find that some of the powder can fall on my face been container & lifting the brush up to my roots. I really love this product (apart from the fact I haven't notices any loose powder on my face) is that it's easy to apply, does what it says & it can even be applied on wet or dry hair.
The Colour Renewing Shampoo & conditioner are available for both fine hair & also hair that is prone to frizz & also in different shades to suit your individual colour. I have been using the prone to frizz products that obviously clean & condition your hair, as well as being designed to help refresh your hair colour & leave your hair feeling soft & smooth whilst boosting shine. I must admit prior to trying these products I'd been using the same shampoo & conditioner for over 15 years & still love it so these products had some stiff competition but I'm really impressed & at a fraction of the cost of my existing shampoo & conditioner they make great more purse friendly alternatives.
As for the Colour Everything Mask I've actually brought this product away on holiday with me as there's nothing that's going to fade your hair & take the shine away faster than the sun. I use this mask immediately after my hair has been coloured to help lock in the pigmentation & then once to twice a week.
Back to today & of course I'm still in full on holiday mode. So here's what I've got planned to wear today.
