Morning ladies & happy Sunday. For this month's collaboration with Marks & Spencer I thought we'd talk knitwear. A real wardrobe staple for the next few months as temperatures drop. For me it's all about the wardrobe staples - timeless styles & colours that you can bring out year after year.
So let's jump right in with the above chunky stripe knit. Perfect for teaming with these faux leather leggings, these trainers, this cross body bag & this coat for an everyday look.
Pure Cashmere Striped Round Neck Jumper or see here for a merino wool alternative
Now it's no secret I'm a huge cashmere & stripe fan so the above jumper is perfect for a smarter look, whether that be styled for the office with these cropped cigarette pants & these statement shoes. Or alternatively for a night out with this skirt & these boots.
I also find an off the shoulder/Bardot jumper a great piece of knitwear to own. Perfect for dressing up a pair of jeans like these, which would look gorgeous teamed with these shoes.

Now if I had to choose just 3 pieces of knitwear then it would have to be a cashmere roll neck like the one above.
Pure Cashmere V Neck Jumper or see here for a merino wool alternative
Together with a cashmere 'V' neck jumper, which would look a-mazing with this leopard print beaut of a skirt, which also comes in a stunning blue mix.

And a cashmere crew neck, with one style being navy, one black & one soft grey. But should you not want to spend on cashmere, you'll also see I've also linked to some great alternatives in merino wool. Pieces that will go with most items in your wardrobe so great pieces to purchase in terms of usefulness & a cost per wear basis.
Moving onto a few chunkier knits, which are also a great item to have hanging in your wardrobe when temperatures plummet.
I especially love a heavy duty chunky knit like the one above, which would work really well when worn over a summer maxi dress such as this one, teamed with these boots.
Another look I love is a chunky knit & leather leggings combo, so I'm loving the idea of the above jumper teamed with these faux leather leggings. The jumper is very similar to the Acne oversized wool turtleneck sweater but needless to say at a fraction of the price.
And then it's always nice to have one or two statement jumpers like the above animal print jumper or this slogan sweatshirt.
Finally a couple of cardigans make great staples for layering. I love the above cardigan, which reminds me of the Acne Studios Raya Brushed-Knit Cardigan. Perfect for teaming with faux leather leggings, skinny jeans & 'A' line skirts.
And for anyone who like me loves a jacket combo this opened fronted coat is a great piece that could so easily be dressed up or down. How gorgeous does it look with the above denim jeans, just pair with these court shoes & this stunner of a bag.
Back to today & I'm breaking out a new knitwear addition to my wardrobe with this monochrome stripe cashmere crew neck, which I've featured above. I got the navy version last winter & found it so useful that I didn't hesitate in getting the black version. In terms of sizing I went up a size to a 10 for a slightly less fitted feel.
I've styled it today with my cropped straight leg leather trousers & those velvet ankle boots I couldn't get enough of last year.

Love cashmere sweaters...especially a lovely cozy black turtleneck, and of course your fabulous stripes! Cannot get much more classic than that!
