Morning ladies & happy Sunday. For the second monthly post, highlighting a 'must have' wardrobe staple I want to talk blazers.
If you're anything like me you'll have an extreme weakness for a tailored jacket or two. The perfect wardrobe addition that will bring a look together, as well as add a bit of structure. Plus a great confidence booster too.
A blazer is most definitely up there in the list of versatility - dress for the office with a pencil skirt or cigarette pants, low kitten heels & simple round neck blouse or bring it out to play of a weekend by pairing with a breton, boyfriend jeans & trainers. Needless to say the amount of looks you can create is never ending - pair with chinos, ballet pumps & a classic white crew neck tee, or how about with a timeless fitted white shirt & cigarette pants. Not to mention over a maxi dress or skirt as just a few examples.
In terms of investing in this style jacket, my advice to clients is always the same - buy in a classic style the best quality you can afford & you'll get back in terms of cost per wear. As a blazer is never going to date or go out of fashion.
Of course for jacket-a-holics like myself why stop at one blazer?! There's the single breasted version, a double breasted & of course a Chanel inspired boucle to tempt us further!
I've put together my edit of the best blazers currently available on the high street above, with something to suit all budgets & even thrown in a statement military jacket & a couple of gorgeous boucle numbers. As always simply click on any of the images for further details.
