Morning ladies & happy Sunday. It may not seem it, due to the ridiculous amounts of rain we've been 'enjoying' recently but summer is definitely on it's way. So for this month's collaboration with Marks & Spencer I'm looking at those statement summer pieces that would be perfect for slotting into our wardrobes & updating our holiday looks. So let's get started with a favourite fabric of mine - broderie anglaise & the above stunning wrap blouse, that's also available in white.
A great statement blouse that can so easily be dressed up or down. As you can see from the below picture I've dressed mine up with some off white trousers & flats but the top would also look great with jeans & heels for a night out or paired with cut off denim shorts & sandals for a warm summer's day.

In terms of sizing I tried both my normal size & one size down & whilst both fitted me fine I preferred the look of the blouse with that little bit extra room so have stuck with my normal size (UK8).
For me the perfect way of breathing new life into my wardrobe as each season arrives is by adding a few key tops. Ones that I can wear in the day but also should the need arise be able to dress up for a night out. The above stunning pink top is no acceptation. I just love the ruffle detailing & due to it's 'A' line cut would look great during the day teamed with some cropped jeans like these & flats such as these but equally paired with some navy cigarette pants like these & heels like these for a night out.
Similarly this navy 'V' neck top would soon earn its keep. I love how it's been styled above for an everyday look with wide legged jeans but again could be easily be dressed up with cigarette pants & a statement necklace, such as this one for evening or even teamed with a maxi skirt, such as this one.
One item I wear all year round are my red ballet pumps, so if you don't already own some these would make a great addition. The small block heel adds an element of glamour & they're the perfect accessory for adding a pop of colour to all your wardrobe neutrals & brightening up your look even on the greyest & dampest of days.

Come holiday season I just can't get enough of summer dresses & as you already know I love anything that's broderie anglaise so the above maxi dress is a huge hit for me & is perfect for pairing with some straw accessories & sandals come the arrival of the sunshine.

I've gone with my normal size again in this dress (UK 8). Whilst I could have sized down because you put the dress on over your head, I felt it could possibly be more of a struggle in a smaller size, which would put me off wearing the dress & that defeats the whole purpose. Plus due to the elasticated waistband my normal size doesn't look too big & there's definition on my waist. The other great thing about this dress is that it's lined & a great weight, so no need to have to worry about adding an underskirt or the dress becoming see-through in strong sunlight.
If like me you love dresses & broderie anglaise then you may also be tempted by the above & below white dresses. Both beautiful & timeless & perfect for packing to take on holiday.
I'd personally swap the belt on the above dress for something like this & team with these sandals.
Or what about the above stunning striped maxi dress. I just love everything about this - colour & style & it would be perfect teamed with a jute basket like this one & for cooler days trainers such as these & a denim jacket like this.

I love wearing white/off white once my skin starts to get sun kissed so I couldn't resist adding the above two separates to my wardrobe. The knitted top is perfect for teaming with these tapered leg trousers (that also come in navy, black & grey) & the top will prove really useful for wearing as I've shown above or with jeans, shorts or even maxi skirts & of course the trousers will go with a whole host of items in my wardrobe & can easily be dressed up or down. In terms of sizing I sized down with the trousers to a size 6 regular & for the top went with my normal size.

If you love a sleeveless knit then how gorgeous is the above pink number? I love this teamed with white but equally I think it looks stunning when worn with light denim, such as these jeans.
And I just love the neckline of the above camisole (that's also available in navy & flame), which would be perfect for teaming with the below maxi skirt & a denim jacket.
I also love these tan cropped trousers & think they would be a great all year round wardrobe addition, just swap the sandals for ankle boots.

Finally I just can't resist cashmere & living in the UK it's definitely an item I seem to wear all year round. I've been hankering after a twinset for a while & whilst it's available in a whole host of colours I decided to go for light grey as I thought the cardigan would be perfect for wearing over my shoulders with a summer dress on cooler days/evenings & grey is the perfect neutral. In terms of sizing I went for my normal size in both the jumper & cardigan & am wearing an 8.
