Morning ladies you may recall that a few months back I was introduced to a new French brand Institut Esthederm & was really impressed by the products I'd been sent to trial (see here). Well I was so impressed that I've continued to use these products & have also added further products from their range that I have bought myself including their Hyaluronic Serum, their Intensive Hyaluronic Cream, their Intensive Hyaluronic Eye Contour, their Intensive Retinol Oil Serum & their Cellular Water Mist. Like I say I'm really impressed by the products & love the range & how they make my skin feel & look.
So I was delighted when the brand recently got in touch to see if I'd like to trial some more of their products.
The first new product I chose to review was their eye contour lift patches. Now I've been using something similar from another brand & I'm a big fan of this product for relieving my tired eyes so I was really keen to see how these patches compared. Firstly for an intensive treatment Institut Esthederm suggest using 3 patches in the first week, 3 in the second week, 2 in the third week & 2 in the fourth week & then as required.
So that's exactly what I've done & they couldn't be easier to apply, unlike the previous product I have been using which easily wrinkled & got tangled up. Just note that there are 2 patches in each sachet & you just need to gently separate them when you open the package. I've applied my patches of an evening once I've removed my make up on fully cleansed skin, leaving the patches on for approximately 5 minutes & then gently massaging in any excess serum.
In terms of the difference they've made to my eyes well if you give them a try you'll see immediately after the application your eyes will look a lot smoother & less puffy & applying as the brand suggests the skin around my eyes definitely seems a lot brighter & smoother & dare I say less tired. I'm so pleased with them that I've already purchased my next set of patches, which I plan to use on a weekly basis.
The second product I've been using for just over 4 weeks is their Derm Repair Restructuring Serum, which is an intense treatment designed to target firmness, smooth wrinkles & give the appearance of regenerated skin. I've been applying the serum of a morning & evening on cleansed skin & find the serum quickly absorbs into my skin & is definitely having an impact to the overall texture of my skin.
I've then been following this with their Radiance Detoxifying Illuminating Care cream, again a lovely light cream that absorbs quickly with no after feel or residue. The first time I applied this with the serum I'd not mentioned to hubby that I had some new creams to try or was actually applying them but when I walked into the kitchen having applied them to my face he commented that my face looked softer/more radiance - I kid you not! So naturally I was instantly sold on this cream as if my hubby can notice when he's not been asked says it all to me.
The final product I've been trying is their Intensive Hyaluronic Mask. Now you probably know by now that I'm a big fan of Hyaluronic Acid & it's definitely one of those magic ingredients that we should all be using on our skin to help with the hydration & plumping our skin. The brand suggest that this is applied 2 to 3 times a week by applying a thick layer to the face & neck & either washing off after 15-20 minutes or leaving on overnight.
The first time I applied this I was a little sceptical as having applied a relatively thick layer to my skin I thought the mask was going to just sit on my skin for the next 20 minutes as a wet mask & couldn't see how it could be used as an overnight mask as it would just go all over the pillowcase but whilst waiting the time recommended I happened to catch sight of my reflection in a mirror & was amazed to see that the mask had actually sunk into my skin with only the slightest of residue left. When I washed my face after the 20 minutes my skin felt amazing & so soft. In fact I was so amazed that the next time I applied the mask I kept it on overnight & just allowed enough time for the mask to absorb before going to bed. Needless to say this is another product that has now made it into my normal skincare regime & I leave on overnight once a week.
I've also been lucky enough to have been sent some of the brands sun care range. Now I'm really excited to try this, so much so I'm saving it for our summer holiday in August.
What sets their range apart is that instead of going by sun protection factors the brand instead offer cream in modern sun & strong sun, with both offering global cellular protection featuring a patented intracellular protection technology that provides enhanced anti-UVA photoaging protection with Anti-UVB sunburn protection.
I must admit whilst I do use face sun cream I always find it heavy & clogging on my skin & never know if I should apply my face cream as well as the sun cream so the fact that Institut Esthederm do a face cream that not only offers the necessary UVA and UVB protection but also prevents photo-ageing, dark spots as well as preventing & correcting wrinkles together with compensating the dehydration & loss of minerals from sun exposure is brilliant.
Along with the face cream the body lotion works on the same principles &optimises your natural tan by preserving the youthfulness & quality of the skin to give a fast & long lasting luminous tan.
Like the face sun cream the After Sun Repair cream is also available for the face & provides a hydra-soothing anti-wrinkle firming cream that will help prolong the radiance of your tan whilst preventing photo-aging.
There is also a separate body lotion that's available here, which I definitely plan on treating myself to this before our holidays. Although hubby had better get his own as I don't plan on sharing any of it as I've got high hopes for both the sun care & after sun :-)
Back to today & it's all about the splash of colour with a statement skirt.
