With sun kissed skin there's no better time to ditch the normal beauty routine & wear a little less make up & go for a more natural look. Now obviously you're not going to get me ditching the eyeliner any time soon but whilst on holiday & also on our return I do simplify my normal routine to the following products.
So firstly for a light coverage where needed, I apply some of the above, which really does give your skin a lovely glow. So much so in winter when I need extra cover I mix this with my tinted moisturiser.
To conceal dark circles & added coverage then this concealer is perfect for dabbing on & blending where needed.
Then for colour I've recently treated myself to the above bronzer, which is a product I used to use years ago & is great for adding that 'sun kissed' look. A little goes a long way so this pot will last me ages & is simply applied with a large brush, with coverage being built up as little or as much as you want. It's also great for wearing on its own without foundation or blending in a lighter foundation whilst on holiday.
I was already a fan of Charlotte Tilbury's beauty wands & as a rule have been wearing her Hollywood Spotlight as a highlighter every day but the above version that I was recently sent has become my new favourite.
Until trying the product I was a little concerned that it might be too gold & sparkly for daytime & perhaps something that would be better for wearing whilst on holiday but actually it's a gorgeous warm gold that isn't glittery & warms & softens the skin.
Likewise I've long been a fan of Charlotte Tilbury's eye palettes, so was keen to try her Exaggereyes combination which promises to make your eyes 'pop' & bring out your natural eye colour. I was lucky enough to be sent this by Cult Beauty & like most of Charlotte Tilbury's products it doesn't disappoint. Soft nudes that can be built up to create a gorgeous smoky eye & it's true it really does make your eyes stand out.
Now as I mentioned earlier I'm never going to be able to walk away from my eyeliner so no matter how light my makeup I always define my eyes but depending on whether it's day/evening I may swap the colour I'm wearing.
And of course I always finish my eyes off with this fab mascara.
As I mentioned earlier I love Charlotte's beauty wands so a smudge of the above on my cheeks is perfect for a light summer look.
Finishing with a soft pinky nude for my lips. The above lipstick is a new addition to my collection after treating myself whilst on a recent shopping trip in Birmingham & is part of the Hot Lips 2 collection.
I've also brought a couple of beauty products that I've recently been sent away with me on holiday that are perfect for an additional bit of pampering.
I've never tried Olaplex before so was desperate to try this product as I'd heard great reviews. It's been perfect whilst away with my hair being exposed to strong sunlight & has given it a much need boost of TLC, especially as my hair has a lot more additional colour these days.
And the final product I've been using on holiday is this face mist that's been great for setting my make up as well as keeping in my pool/beach bag & refreshing my face in the heat.
Here's what I've thought I might wear.
