Morning ladies, I thought today I'd share with you a few new beauty buys I've treated myself to in the past few weeks, as with the stress of the sale of our home in the UK, together with the purchase & start of our new lives in France I think it's safe to say my face has definitely been showing the stress & strains we've recently been going through & I'm desperate not to look quite so haggard & old when I look at myself in the mirror!
Whilst the first product isn't anything that will help with the signs of ageing, it is something I've been keen to try. In the past I've tried natural deodorants which I've found have obviously made me sweat more & not been that great at disguising the fact in terms of moisture & fragrance so when I spotted this cream deodorant I thought it worth a shot, especially as I know it's better for you to wear a natural deodorant. Applied like any other cream you literally rub a small amount of this product in under your arms & I have to say so far so good. Needless to say the true test will be in the summer but so far I'm happy with the product & love the scent.
This next item I ordered back in September but didn't receive till November due to the huge backlog of orders following Nigella Lawson's mention of it in The Sunday Times. I was a bit sceptical but reckoned after such a review & at a cost of only £20 it was worth a shot. Generally I'm not a fan of oil products but this sinks into my skin instantly & depending on how my skin is feeling I just apply either 1 or 2 drops after all other moisturiser/serums of an evening. I have to say my skin looked instantly better the next morning - brighter, smoother & slightly less haggard so this is now firmly part of my nightly routine. So if you've been wondering if it's worth all the hype then yes it is!
Just over 12 months ago I started having regular microdermabrasion sessions at my local beauty salon back in the UK & have to say I loved how it made by skin look less tired, more plump & was brilliant at eleminating blackheads. But since moving to France I'm surprised at the changes in my skin due to not having the treatment, especially with clogged pores. So when I spotted this home kit I thought it worth a shot, especially at the time as I was able to save 30%! It's not yet arrived so I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival but based on my past treatments I have high expectations.
Another investment purchase that I've also treated hubby to, are these silk pillowcases as our old ones were a little tired & they're definitely much nicer & cooler to sleep on, not to mention kinder on your skin & hair, so definitely worth the investment.
The final beauty product I've recently treated myself to is the above sonic cleansing brush, which not only deeply cleanses your skin but is a great way of treating your face to a mini massage. Re-chargeable so no need to worry about batteries, I've noticed that mine just keeps on going & it's several weeks before it needs charging again. Plus its easy to wash & keep clean & doesn't break the bank.
Finally beauty purchase is a hair styling product that I just love on my hair. I find you only need a small amount, which I rub between my fingers & then apply to my roots for lift & on my layers for texture. Plus as long as you don't use too much it doesn't leave your hair greasy.
Back to today & it's a simple all grey & tan look.
