Morning ladies.  So today I thought we'd talk preloved as I get a lot of messages asking about where I buy my preloved items.

When I first starting writing my blog (nearly 7 years ago!) I was a self confessed Zara addict & whilst I still am (you just can't fault them in terms of style can you), my addiction has somewhat eased & moved onto preloved clothes.

Why?  Well that's simple, through shopping preloved I've discovered brands & clothing that would normally be unobtainable now within my budget, but by buying preloved I'm also able to fill my wardrobe with timeless, well made & cut pieces that if looked after will wear better & last longer than a lot of high street chain clothing.

As you know I still love my high street finds but by mixing these pieces with preloved buys it helps elevate the overall appearance.  Plus as is often the case a lot of my preloved buys have been bought for a fraction of their original price & many of them brand new or if not hardly worn.  It also means you don't save items for best as if you've only paid a small percentage of it's full price tag then I find you're not as worried about getting it marked etc.

As you'll see from the images above, I've popped together a selection of preloved finds from my favourite designers & as always just click on any of the individual images for further details.  As we're all getting more climate & planet aware I thought that I would make this a regularly feature & once a month pinpoint my favourite preloved finds that have caught my eye & in turn hopefully make it easier for you to grab some preloved bargains.

As for where I tend to buy my preloved items then I have to say the majority of my finds are found on  eBay, followed by Vestiaire & The Real Real, as well as lots of independent retailers such as NAM London & Designer Exchange.

What I would say is that it takes time & dedication to track down the bargains.

My top tip for shopping preloved would be to save searches on those designers that you love & check your alerts regularly.  When you do find a seller you're happy with then also save them so that you get alerts for their new listings as chances are they'll be selling other items you like & in your size.

As for being nervous about buying through eBay then remember eBay favours the buyer & if you're in any doubt/the seller doesn't cooperate etc you can soon raise a claim & get your money back but of course that's the worst case scenario.  Always do you homework, check the buyer's feedback & also look through what else they're selling to get an idea of if you think they're genuine.  Also make sure you read the description of the item thoroughly & look closely at the images as well as asking specific questions such as measurements if you can't return the item.

If you're still too nervous to 'click the button' on sites like eBay then consider sites such as Vestiaire & The Real Real who verify the items being sold & eliminate any worries & doubts.  Just remember that if you purchase from The Real Real then you will have to pay import taxes on your purchases & also that the discount code REAL will get you 20% off most items.  Shipping is on the high side but it is coming from America & generally I found items arrived in 2-3 working days.

As for Vestiaire then they operate like eBay where on most items you can make an offer to the seller but you're only allowed to offer up to 30% off the asking price.  They've also recently introduced a new service that helps save further by allowing the seller to send direct to you but this does mean that the item won't have been verified, although they only allow trusted sellers to do this.  I must admit I've been impressed that in the past there's been a couple of items I've bought from them & upon verification they've stated the item didn't quite meet the sellers description in regards to wear of the piece so I've manage to save further.  So it's reassuring to know that they're on the buyer's side & do verify everything thoroughly.

Back to today & it's all about the Sunday style with all my clothing (apart from my trainers) being preloved finds.
