H&M Lyocell skirt

Morning ladies & happy Sunday.  Whilst there have been less purchases in the way of clothes & more home/DIY purchases of late I've still managed to slip a few preloved & new in pieces into my wardrobe.  So in anticipation of Spring I thought I'd share my recent high street buys.

Starting with the above maxi skirt which is one of those skirts that will go with all those neutral tops we have in our wardrobes (navy, white, cream, black, grey) & will be a great 'go to'.  Super comfy, elasticated waist & will look great dressed up with a blazer/biker & ballet pumps as much as it will in the hotter months with a simple cami & sandals.  In terms of sizing I wanted some swish factor so went with my normal size (plus it's also available in cream!).

H&M one shoulder top

As you'll know by now I absolutely love off the shoulder tops, so when I spotted this one shoulder sweatshirt at the very purse friendly price of £12.99 it was a no brainer.  Easy to pair with jeans & trainers or dress up a maxi skirt or even wear with a pair of shorts.

H&M Puff Sleeved Sweatshirt

Likewise this puff sleeved sweatshirt will prove just as useful, with the ¾ sleeves & puff sleeve detailing making it something a lot more special than your every day sweatshirt.  Again I went with my standard UK size.

zara belted bermuda shorts

As we're now living in the South of France I'm hoping our summers will be a lot hotter & more predictable than the UK, so when I spotted these Bermuda shorts I thought they'd be perfect for wearing with all my summer tops & also the one shoulder sweatshirt I've featured above.  I went for my normal size with these & have already binned the belt, which looks quite cheap in real life & plan to replace it with a black or tan leather one instead.

Zara textured Dress

You might remember that I have a thing for detailing & when I spotted the above dress the sleeves reminded me of a couple of Ganni dresses that I have hanging in my wardrobe.  I sized down with this dress & think it's going to prove super useful on hotter days but likewise plan to wear it with a leather or denim jacket on cooler ones.  Also it offers some versatility in terms of how you can wear it as whilst it looks great as worn by the model you can also wear the sleeves off the shoulder for a different look & also belt the dress for something a little more tailored.

zara voluminous midi skirt

Finally again for all the 'swishing' days I'm hoping this summer is going to bring I went for the above skirt, which I would describe more as a maxi than a midi & blends perfectly with our new bedroom!

Back to today & I'm all about the splash of leopard.
