h and m straight style t shirt

Morning ladies & happy Sunday.  So it's been a while since I did a confession post, mainly because we're focusing on purchases for the house at the moment but there's been a few new purchases for the coming season in the past few weeks that I thought I'd share with you today.

Starting with this simple stripe crew neck tee that's one of those useful tops for teaming with denim, shorts & of course cropped white trousers.  Plus I think it's going to be perfect for pairing under a navy blazer with jeans & trainers for a simple 'go to' everyday look.  I'm also waiting for this dress to arrive, which I've got high hopes for & these denim shorts.

Zara slim fit high rise jeans

If you follow me on Instagram you may remember I decided to make some boyfriend jeans into shorts having decided that they became too loose on the leg after a couple of wears.  Whilst I love my skinny jeans I wanted some that had a slightly looser fit that could be worn turned up & would dress down some of my smarter blazers.  After trying a few pairs out these grey ones tick all my boxes & are the perfect loose/tailored fit I was after.

So much so that I also got them in the light blue wash & may be tempted by some of the remaining colours too!

zara masculine shirt with pocket

Now I have a huge weakness for a cornflower blue shirt, so when I saw this oversized/masculine styled one it was love at first sight.  There's numerous ways I plan on wearing this but I love the idea of it teamed with some denim shorts come the warmer month as well as a pair of cream cigarette pants.

zara buttoned waistcoat

Another item that was an instant 'clicking of the button' was this tailored waistcoat, that I will wear on it's own, done up as a top.  I'm thinking for nights out with a tailored pair of cigarette pants & heels, dressed down with a loose fit pair of jeans & sandals & also worn with a maxi skirt & leather sandals for everyday.

zara asymmetric oversized t-shirt

A simple crew neck tee will always earn it's keep in any wardrobe but what I really like about this t-shirt with the asymmetric oversized cut as well as the slightly longer sleeve detailing.  For me this is going to be  perfect for pairing with a maxi skirt or pair of loose fit jeans for Spring & then with denim shorts come the warmer months.

Raey red v neck cap sleeve crepe jersey dress

My final purchase is something I've been stalking for months & which thanks to being heavily reduced in the sales plus an additional 20% off voucher I was finally able to get.  It was a tough decision as to whether I should go with the navy or red but in the end was swayed by the pop of colour.

Back to today & it's a simple all blue look with a little pop of red.
