Morning ladies & Happy New Year. I hope 2023 sees all your dreams & wishes come true & is a kind & special year for us all.
So have you made any New Year resolutions? Well on the off chance that one might be to get your wardrobe/bedroom more organised & tidy, I thought today we'd talk storage & a few great ideas on achieving a more organised/less cluttered life.
Starting with a couple of ideas on how to organise & display your jewellery. For me I always find that if I have my jewellery out on display then I'm more likely to wear the items. After all jewellery that's stored away in a box can easily be forgotten & somehow it's just that little bit more hassle to get out & wear. After all we brought the jewellery to be worn & accessorise our outfits so the least we can do it wear it.
I have several of these bracelet stands on a shelf in my wardrobe so I can see all my bangles & bracelets & they really are brilliant for display purposes. Plus even if you're not wearing your jewellery on a daily basis it's nice to be able to see it & get some enjoyment from looking at it.
Then for organising smaller accessories/underwear/belts/scarves etc these compartment storage boxes are brilliant. Just slip inside a drawer & you'll be amazed at how much tidier it keeps everything.
Most of us have at some point or time got frustrated with clothes hangers, especially with silk items that slip off the hangers as soon as you touch them. So it's worth treating yourself to some anti-slip ones. I have both these trouser hangers, which I also use for storing maxi dresses & skirts.
As well as these velvet non-slip space saving hangers. These are just brilliant, If hanging space is tight then these are a real game changer.
Moving onto handbags now & I can't think there's many of us who haven't 'lost' our phone/keys/lippy in our handbags, which has resulted in a mild panic attack & the tipping out of the contents on the floor in a desperate bid to find whatever we've mislaid. Well panic no more these handbag organisers are available in different colours & sizes & perfect for popping inside you bag so you can instantly find everything. Plus if you're someone who changes your bag to match your outfit then it makes the changer over so quick & simple.
This next item isn't exactly something to do with organisation but it is a game changer in terms of applying makeup/plucking etc. I have this exact mirror & wouldn't be without it. Sturdy in design it's perfect for giving both a normal & magnified view. Plus it has a sliding scale illuminated light so you can adjust the brightness accordingly & the charge really lasts, so no having to charge it every few days/week.
Another area for organising has to be makeup, as like the contents of our bags, it's very easy to misplace an eyeshadow/lip liner etc. So something that keeps everything in it's place & where you can see it makes getting ready of a morning a joy & so much less stressful.
And of course the same goes for our makeup brushes. Everything in it's place & where you can see it. What's not to love?
Finally if you have a Dyson Airwrap or are partial to a few hair styling tools. Consider treating yourself to an organiser that holds & displays all your items, including the annoying cords, in one simple place.
Back to today & it's all about the layers.
