And what better way to fill it than starting with this stunning striped dress that I have previously featured on my blog all about stripy dresses (see here) & yes for the record it is slightly longer on me than the model & I'm 5'7".
Next up is this abstract top from Zara, which I have already worn & for someone that doesn't wear much patterned clothing (excluding my beloved Bet of course!!!) this just really appealed in a simple kind of way not to mention it's something a little bit different to the hundred & one tops already hanging in said wardrobe!!! Plus if green's not your thang it's also available in a blue tone.
Of course as soon as I tried this cream boucle dress on that I featured in my blog on cream dresses (click here) it was only ever going to end one way!!! I'm thinking this will be a great little stylish dress for taking away with me.
Now it wouldn't be a monthly confession without a jacket purchase (I know I already have enough jackets....but seriously how could I resist this baby?!!!) & I did say I needed a grey jacket ;-) The fact that it's nothing like the style I had in mind is of course a fact we'll skip happily & quickly over!!! Plus it was purchased with 30% off ;-)
Another dress (yes hubby the dress sized hole is getting filled nicely I promise!!!) & again one I've already featured on the blog not to mention already owned up to - so this one doesn't count in my monthly purchase tally right plus it was purchased with the first 30% Mango offer!
Not a dress but a tunic & yes there is a difference - this one definitely requires some form of bottom half to be worn with it. Love the laid back look & vibe to this plus the fact it's pale pink means it's something a little bit different to all the cream bohemian tops doing the rounds this time of year & again has already be worn for my press day to Mint Velvet (see here).
Couldn't resist this puff sleeved top from H&M something that little bit different.
Now this sweatshirt from Boden was too good a bargain to resist as by the time I'd applied a discount code & used a voucher it came in at a little over £15 plus it's a great wardrobe staple......plus I think we can all agree that you can never have enough stripes in any wardrobe ;-)
And finally a purchase to satisfy my inner Bet. Love the cobalt blue border so much that I just couldn't resist - surely scarves & leopard print ones at that are another one of those items that you can never have enough of?!!! Of course this might just be me ;-0
Finishing with my outfit for today, which looking at the beautiful blue skies outside may soon be swapped for shorts & a t-shirt....that's if the breeze dies down of course!!!
Jumper - Massimo Dutti
T-Shirt - Zara
Scarf - Massimo Dutti
Jeans - Zara
Pumps - Boden
Shop my style.
Jumper - Next £16
T-Shirt - Next £14
Scarf - Mango £17.99
Jeans - Next £32
Pumps - Next £25
So come on time for your monthly confession.......tell me I'm not the only one that's been a bad girl once again!!!! Of course my Mango purchases from last week are conveniently being moved to June as they arrived in June......well that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it ;-) Plus seeing as we have no internet connection following our Home Hub literally going up in smoke from what we think was a power surge after the horrific lightening & thunder storm yesterday it's safe to say hubby is breathing a huge sign of relief that there will be no internet 'research' being done for today at least!!!!
Have a great day & see you in the morning.
I'm still on the search for a stripe dress Jane, I got outbid on an eBay one sadly! I can't remember what I've bought, not a lot I'm sure! X
ReplyDeleteSharron you're too good ;-)

The striped dress is simply PERFECT. I love everything about it. I look forward to seeing you wear it. I also LOVE the tunic from Mango and have almost purchased it several times- ha ha. I was worried about the length which is what held me back. I was hoping for a dress. I'll have to see you wear it maybe. All the pieces you got are pretty awesome. Enjoy
ReplyDeleteAww thanks Athena...how tall are you? I'm 5'7" & although it's short it's not too short especially for summer. Will wear it as soon as the weather heats up enough so you can see.

I'm not adding up anything as I fear I may have a coronary if I do...love your new purchases. I agree , one can never have too may stripes in ones wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteAmanda it's scary not sure what I started with this monthly what I've been buying...each month I say I don't need anything each month I purchase ;-0 One day I may surprise myself & everyone else & not purchase a thing....on the other hand pigs might fly!!!

The H&M top is amazing!! I have fallen in love with River Island at the moment - they have some amazing prints for jumpsuits and dresses that I have ordered from Asos! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanna, I love all the jumpsuits you've recently ordered. Can't wait to see your new haul of dresses too!

Great purchases - sure you'll enjoy wearing all of them. Not spent an awful lot in May - bought a lovely dress from DP plus shorts, 3 tops and a pair of sandals from Dune. I do feel rather guilty as my wardrobe is bursting with spring/summer things to wear - lots with labels still on. So need to stop myself spending any more until the sales when I can justify the spend!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, I know what you mean I'm still hoping for a glorious summer so I can get my wear out of my new summer dresses!!!
DeleteJane xx
Erm yep I spent £0.00 in May...! A little in June already admittedly, about £30 so far. Car insurance, last few weeks of pregnancy = no point even having a budget or looking about really.
ReplyDeleteOh Lou you are good, I bet you're getting excited about the arrival of your little one :-)

Love the Mango purchases! xxx
ReplyDeleteThe Jolly Fashionista
Thanks Emma....I may have ordered a few more already this month from Mango ;-0

I wasn't too bad in May tbh but it looks like I'm making up for it in June! I've already bought my winter coat, a parka from ASOS & I'm feeling super smug about it! I love your confession posts & its really great to see all your purchases together! Ax
ReplyDeleteWow you're doing well Andrea.....I fear I might have been just as naughty in June!!! ;-0
