Can't believe it's Thursday already....why can't weeks such as half time go slower than normal weeks?!!  Instead they seem to go faster!!  Oh well, son is at his last day of work experience & hubby working in the office so I've got a quiet day to get my head down with work & the dog's snoring to keep me company, I can't believe for such a small dog how loudly he snores!!

Keeping it neutral today with khakis, blacks & greys accessorised with my beloved Clarks bag (which has now been reduced to half price!!) & boots.

Reefer Jackets & WIWT

Today I'm looking at reefer coats, which I think has to be my most favourite style of coat.  For me it's just a really stylish classic that regardless of the different fashions never really changes.  Plus it's as great dressed down with boyfriend jeans & flats as it is teamed with a party dress or leather effect skinnies & heels & equally looks fab worn done up, undone or casually thrown over your shoulders.

So let's get on with my edit of the best reefers on the high street.  Starting of course with my new Wallis addition, which was recommended by their Style Advisor app (click here to see post) & I can't wait to wear.  Plus it's now been reduced to just £29!!

In fact Wallis seem to have the best selection of reefers out there as they also have this gorgeous berry one, which looks very similar in style to the blue one I've got hanging in my wardrobe.

I'm also loving this black version from Mango, although seeing as I have a fab black reefer brought from Zara a couple of years ago even I can't justify a new one ;-)

Love the colour of this camel reefer from ASOS.....any chance do you think that I could justify a camel one to keep my black & navy versions company?!!

This next coat has a slightly more casual feel due to the plain buttons & wider lapels but if you wanted to mix things up a bit you could so easily change the buttons to brass to make it truly unique.

Now if you're on the hunt for a pale blue coat then Next have got the reefer market sorted.  I'm not sure the colours they've paired it with totally do this coat justice but imagine it styled with soft greys, a lighter denim & whites & it would look amazing.

Or how about this stunning dusty pink one from Warehouse.  I love the extra detailing on the cuffs & think this shade of pink looks gorgeous with a soft/worn denim jean not to mention greys.

Or if you love the look of a reefer coat but fancy something a little bit less fussy in design Mint Velvet have certainly captured the relaxed glamour feel with this gorgeous winter white one.

Or how about their navy coat, which is styled to perfection in my eyes.  Simply a great outfit - stylish, elegant & sassy & consisting of things most of us have hanging in our wardrobes....I'm definitely making a mental note to copy this look in the future!

Finally finishing with my outfit for today.

Leather Cuff - Mango £14.99

So what do you think, are you a lover of the reefer?  Is it something you've already got hanging in your wardrobe or maybe you're thinking of investing in one this winter?  Or perhaps you just don't get on with the whole double breasted style?

As always I love reading your thoughts & comments & would love to know which of the above beauties is your favourite.

Happy 'hump' day.  Back to reality for all of us today including son who is doing another couple of days work experience.  No doubt I'll be spending the day catching up on the back log of work from my two days off but hey if you've got to go back to work the middle of the week is a great place to start the week....two more sleeps until the weekend :-)

See you in the morning.

New Outfit Post - Sparkle & Leopard Print

Last day off today so making the most of the extra family time & the lovely weather.  At some point we hope to go for a family walk to collect conkers (although we may have left it too late in the month?!) as last year we were told to put them by every window & I have to say we had far less spiders than normal & after seeing all these news stories of foreign spiders been found in bananas etc I'm taking no chances this year!!!

Also hoping to factor in a film or two  & of course wine o'clock & as an added bonus our son assisted by his sous chef a.k.a. hubby are cooking dinner tonight so I can't wait :-)

Satisfying my inner Bet & magpie today with some leopard print & bling!

Second Monday off work in two weeks, I could certainly get used to this!

Going for a grey & black combo today with of course a splash of Bet ;-)

A Wardrobe Classic & WIWT

Following on from my previous posts on fur coats (see here) & parkas (click here) I'm looking at another great classic today the camel coat.  Not only is it a colour that goes with so many neutrals in your wardrobe - winter whites, denim, black, navy, grey & red but it always adds an element of elegance & chicness to any outfit.

I love a camel coat thrown over a pair of jeans & don't think there's anything more gorgeous when teamed with a simple white shirt & some leopard print ballet pumps.  The only problem is that there are so many styles to choose from you're spoilt for choice.

Now last year I brought a three quarter length single breasted camel coat from Zara but that doesn't mean I'm not hankering after another coat to add to the collection! So here's my edit of the best camel coats currently on the high street.

Starting with this gorgeous belted one from Mango.  I love this style but if you're like me & not comfortable with a belted coat but love the style you can always wear it either undone with the belt untied (after all if you're like me you'll very rarely do your coat up anyway!) or to give a bit more shape & definition tie the belt at the back.

I love how Mango have styled the coat with the rolled up casual fit grey trousers & trainers.

Next up is this oversized coat from ASOS, similar in style but minus the belt.  Again it's been styled with trainers but this time with a skirt & whilst I haven't yet embraced the full on trainer trend both these pictures are seriously tempting me!!

Or if the above coat looks too oversized then this ASOS cocoon coat looks a great alternative.

Or even this one from Topshop.

Moving onto a more tailored style next with this classic double breasted coat from Mango.

Or this single breasted one from M&S, which is a little similar to the one I brought last year.

Or how about this one from Zara?

Or what about this one from Massimo Dutti.  More expensive than the rest but the quality, cut & style are bound to be fantastic.

Or for a slightly more casual feel perfect for the school run then you won't go wrong with this double breasted pea coat.

But if you love the style of a mac but need something a bit warmer for winter then this coat from Mango would be perfect.

Keeping with a more casual feel & this shorter coat from Mango would look fab teamed with a large scarf.

Or how about this waterfall style from Next?

And finally there's this collarless blanket coat from Topshop.  Love the black piping & detailing.  I think this would look stunning teamed with some black cigarette pants & ballet pumps.

Finishing with what I'm wearing today.

Jumper - Woolovers
Shirt - Zara
Leather Cuff - Banana Republic
Jeans - Zara
Boots - Clarks

Dressed Down Hot Pink

Jumper - Woolovers £37
Leather Cuff - Mango Currently £10.49
Boots - Clarks £110

So what do you think are you a camel coat kind of girl?!  Do you have a favourite from my pick of the high street?  I think I'm leaning towards the ASOS Pea Coat & the M&S Wool Blend Flap Pocket coat but if I'm honest I wouldn't mind one in each style!  How about you, I'd love to hear which you'd pick!

Enjoy your Sunday & just in case you haven't got discount code overload Wallis have 25% off everything for 25 hours click here to shop!

Now so far I've been good & not clicked the button but seeing as it's the last day of Mango's 30% discount weekend (use code 5WEEKEND) I'm currently playing shopping basket roulette with these beauties......

Should I shouldn't I?!!!  I find my navy satin edge blouse sooo useful that the white version would also be a great multi-tasker & as for the oversized shirt this would be perfect for wearing with my faux leather leggings & as for the grey shirt - *sighs* I just love the detailing......oooh to be good or not to be good that seems the burning question for today!!! And I haven't even yet looked at Boden (15% off everything plus free delivery & returns use code J9G7) or Marks & Spencer (20% off clothes, home & beauty with code OCTEM14)!!

Right I'm off to catch up on Strictly, sequin heaven here I come!!  See you in the morning.

New Outfit Post - Dressing Down A Blazer

Last karate run for a week & a bit of food shopping this morning before coming home & prepping & cooking as we've got friends round for dinner tonight, which I'm really looking forward to - great company, hopefully edible food (!), lots of wine & a good catch up!

Thought I'd dress down my black blazer & grey trousers with a spot of leopard & a simple tee for today.

Blazer - Zara
T-Shirt - Zara
Bag - Wallis
Trousers - Zara
Pumps - Boden

Dressed Down Blazer

Provided the schedule goes to plan & there aren't any major catastrophes in the kitchen I'll post tonight's outfit on Instagram.

Anyone else up to anything special today or is it a case of normal weekend chores & playing taxi driver?! Or maybe you're hitting the internet & going wild with all the offers that are currently on?!  I'd love to hear.

Happy Saturday.
