So this month it was my turn to decide what the 'Fab 40s' should style & despite thinking of a few different themes I just knew deep down that I'd have to pick leopard print. After all I have a HUGE weakness for a bit of animal print & my inner 'Bet' was screaming to be let out!
Of course being a leopard print addict I have a fair few pieces to choose from ranging from shoes to bags to scarves to a pair of trousers & even a maxi skirt. But after a bit of thought & in the interests of getting my 'Bet' fix I decided to go with a full on leopard print vibe & bring my maxi skirt to play.
Now I had planned on just teaming the skirt with a simple cami & some layered delicate chain necklaces but unfortunately summer seems to have disappeared & seeing as temperatures have dropped I've also thrown on my leather biker jacket for warmth & finished the look with a simple black tie belt to pull the look together.

So what do you think, are you a lover of a splash of leopard print? Do you like me, think it can add that little bit of interest to an outfit & like to occasionally take a walk on the wild side, or is it a step too far outside of your comfort zone? As always I'd love to hear your thoughts.
See you tomorrow.
Love your skirt! I have some khaki leopard print fabric that I was thinking about making into a maxi skirt, seeing yours might just have helped me make the decision to go for it!

Love this look on you Jane! I try to incorporate leopard print, but I haven't found the right piece yet. I bought some Top Shop ghillie lace-up flats, but returned them. :( Maybe I should have kept those. :) Keep the inspiration coming.
ReplyDeleteThank you :-) I know what you mean about the leopard print ghillie lace ups, I keep looking at them but think they're almost a bit too busy. Have you thought about just trying a simple ballet pump style, which will be timeless. Or perhaps a leopard print clutch.
