Okay so I still haven't achieved my target of no purchases but this month I've focused on key pieces I feel I'm going to be living in over the coming months. Plus of course the long weekend in Majorca at the end of October may have contributed to my purchases :-0 But hey it would have been rude not to take advantage of the savings & it's surprising how much you can squeeze into carry on luggage isn't it?! ;-)
First up this Zara cashmere scarf......yes a little pricey but it's timeless not to mention oh so soft & warm this is a great wardrobe classic so I felt I could justify the higher price.
Keeping with the cashmere theme is this stunning off the shoulder jumper, I just love how it's been styled below & it will be perfect for nights when you want to wear something a little bit dressier/sexier but can't bear to be parted from a jumper.
This black shirt is a great alternative to a denim shirt, similar to the Mango military one I purchased last month but that little bit more fitted.
Oops another 'A' line skirt may have slipped in too - I just love the colour, perfect for Autumn.
Not such a classic investment piece but a great neutral & of course with my love of all things to do with stars there was no way this slogan jumper wasn't coming home with me. Plus it is the softest knit ever so perfect for cosy winter days.
I've also invested in a couple of extra pieces of footwear - not great when I currently can't wear shoes but at the time of purchase I had no idea I would be getting my toes done let alone as quickly as I did! I don't know about you but I just love wearing a heel to help make the old legs that little big longer & slimmer so these block heeled boots are a no brainer. Again classic in design so can be bought out year after year & the Brucie bonus I don't wobble with the thicker heel so don't need to cling onto hubby's arm, meaning I can go solo! Now I just need my toes to heal so I can wear them for more than a few minutes!
Now I originally ordered the black ones above & these blue ones to choose between the two.....I'm guessing you won't be surprised to hear neither got returned!! These have a slightly more rounded toe & are super comfy - something that will be coming in handy over the coming weeks!
And I also just couldn't resist these - luckily I sized up in these so I'm hoping I might be able to start wearing these beauties again in a week or so :-0
And finally a couple of coat purchases. Having tried this coat on I never wanted to take it off so oops this too has got a new home!
And I just love the relaxed style of this wool coat - warmer than a coatigan so perfect for that laid back look in the cooler months & it made the idea layer when we recently travelled to Majorca for the weekend.
So not a good month in terms of no purchases but some great classic additions.....in my defence there has been much wardrobe sorting & eBaying to help - thank goodness!
Back to today & I'm keeping things comfy & casual & whoop whoop there has been progress in the toe department I can now just about cope with flat trainers for a short amount of time :-) That's not to say I'm planning on spending the majority of the day resting my toes on the sofa....I could get used to this ;-)

Great purchases!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I bought too much in October! A pair of dark skinny jeans, two necklaces, shoes, a black turtleneck, a wrap - I may have forgotten something... And I already bought some pieces in November - I winter coat (I really needed it), faux leather leggings, and a shirt.
Glad I'm not the only one Andrea & like you a few purchases 'may' have already been made in November too ;-0
DeleteSounds like you bought some great pieces.

Some lovely purchases. Would love to hear some tips on wardrobe sorting - I'm a terrible hoarder and seem to find a reason to hang on to everything!
ReplyDeleteWill add it to my list!

Yay - we have shoe progress! I always forget about Zara doing cashmere - is it fairly thick? You've made some great purchases there, real staples. Can't wait to see you in them x
ReplyDeleteThanks Natalie & yay to shoe progress :-)
DeleteYes the scarf is fairly thick - not too bulky just snuggly & soft.

The studded ballerina flats are so pretty! I'm terrible at spending bans; I just can't help myself. I'm going to try extra hard not to spend anything on myself during December! xxx
