A Couple of New Purchases & WIWT - Time To Dig Out The Maxi

Happy Tuesday ladies.  So before I show you what I'm wearing today I've got a few purchases to share.

Firstly we all know I'm HUGE lover of a bit of 'Bet' so when I spotted this cheetah print shirt on a recent shopping expedition it was a definite 'must have'.  I can't believe I've not bought a leopard print shirt before now but the ones I've tried on in the past have never felt quite right & have been that little bit too silky/dressy whereas this is a great casual shirt that will be perfect for day or evening & the cut & fit is just spot on.

I also managed to get this dress that I'd been trying to get in my size for ages, plus it's now been reduced so happy days & definitely meant to be ;-)  Probably more of a dress for autumn provided we have a great summer but like the shirt above it's a lovely fit & cut & will be perfect for teaming with a blazer or biker jacket.  If you're interested there's still limited sizes available online & I'd say that sizing is true to size, although if you tend to be between sizes you may want to size up as the top half is quite fitted.

I've also ordered these sandals in brown.  A bit more expensive than ones I'd normally buy but real statement shoes plus I have a plan.  Last year having taken several pairs of sandals away on holiday I remember commenting that really you just needed a couple/maybe three pairs of sandals - a black, a brown & also a metallic pair.  So I'm planning on pairing down my summer collection to just that & I have a feeling these babies will be getting a lot of wear.

Then finally following on from my recent post on Uniqlo (see here) I just couldn't resist this cardigan/jacket a lovely t-shirt material that I can't wait to team with a cami & jeans.

Back to today & in the hope the temperatures hold & I'm able to dodge the forecasted showers I'm bringing out a maxi skirt & teaming it with a fab little tan cross body bag that I've been sent by Lotus Shoes.  A brand that I'd not previously heard about before they got in touch with me but they stock some really great shoes & bags at great prices, so definitely worth keeping on your radar.

Plus the bag is not only leather but has some really gorgeous detailing such as the woven design & large tassel.  Plus it can be either be used as a clutch or worn as an across body bag so a real multifunctional addition for my wardrobe.

  1. Beautiful outfit, its really pretty without being girly. I ordered the Uniqlo cardigan as well in Off White and Navy. The Navy is perfect, and wore it yesterday, the off white I'm unsure of. Its creased quite badly in the bag and when I tried it over a Navy/Cream Breton dress, the stripes showed through. So am on the fence about it :p

    1. Hi Claire that's interesting about the cream jacket mine wasn't creased at all. I've envisaged teaming mine with a simple cream cami & lace tops so hadn't thought about colours coming through. They're lovely little jackets for throwing on, I was also tempted by the grey one too but have so far resisted. I'd suggest trying your cream one on with a few more tops & see how you feel.

    1. Hi Jo funnily enought I'm currently working on an occasion wear post for Sunday as I've got a couple of functions to go to this summer & thought it might be of interest for anyone else who'd got a special occasion coming up.
I'll post it this Sunday when I should have all the outfit ideas together.
