Morning ladies - so it's the morning after the day before & surprisingly I'm not feeling too bad all things considered! Did you see the pictures on Instagram of our transport?! Oh my goodness it was incredibly funny & needless to say got the day off to a great start. If you ever have the chance to go to an event like this which works out a lot cheaper than Royal Ascot itself I can highly recommend it....the choice of transport is optional of course ;-)
Anyway back to today & there's a few new purchases to report back on.
Firstly when I took my new red Zara jacket off last week I noticed the fabric was starting to come away at the seam (check your's if you've bought one!) so I've returned it as faulty & instead invested in this beauty that I happened to see online in a mid season sale & to be honest I think will be a lot more versatile. Plus it's a little bit different to the other jackets hanging in my wardrobe.

Next up this denim inspired boho top that I've been eyeing up for a couple of months. So when I was last ordering off H&M & needed to add an item to take my total over £50 for free delivery I thought I'd give it a whirl to get it out of my system. Needless to say I loved it straight away & it went straight into my wardrobe. I'm planning on teaming it with white jeans & ballet pumps for a fresh take on the classic denim shirt & white jean combo.
Now if you're after a simple black maxi dress this summer this one is simply stunning, falls beautifully & is most certainly timeless. I've sized down in this so I'd definitely recommend trying a size down. I can't wait to wear this as I think it's going to prove a great multi-tasker.
And finally this lovely navy maxi skirt was also part of my H&M order & again it's a keeper. A gorgeous shade of blue that will be perfect for teaming with cami tops as well as off the shoulder blouses. Although it will need an underskirt to be worn underneath as it's pretty see-through.
Back to today & needless to say a quiet day is on the cards so I'm keeping things pretty simple & bringing out a H&M knitted top I bought a while ago. You won't be surprised to hear that it was the frills that got me. Such a pretty simple top that I just couldn't resist. Although because it's a little shorter in the body than I would have liked I've sized up.

Happy Friday! After the amount of prosecco that was drunk yesterday I think I'll be refraining from wine o'clock but may just need the odd chocolate or two to celebrate the start of the weekend & perhaps a cheeky mid-afternoon siesta! Oh & perhaps take a peek at all the sales that are now doing the rounds, talking of which Boden have just launched 30% off all shoes, boots, skirts, trousers, jeans & shorts! Just click here & use code 4A4N at checkout.
Back in the morning.
