Morning ladies so as promised here's part two of my holiday inspiration post (you can see part 1 here).
So along with swimwear & holiday cover ups another couple of essentials are the all important beach bag - which depending if you have a young/large family you'll need something that can hold the kitchen sink or have older children/holidaying as a couple you can get away with something smaller. Although I don't know about you but I always find it surprising how much you need to take with just the basics - suncream, sunglasses, kindle, phone etc, etc.
In my view you're never going to go wrong with either a straw bag or canvas tote, with the latter proving easier to pack. I always sway from a brightly coloured embroidered tote before we leave to yearning for another straw basket when I spot all the beauties in the shops at our resort. So just to tempt you & me further here's my edit of the best on the high street at the moment.

Another 'must have' is the all important sun hat for both protecting our faces from the heat of the midday sun to throwing on & hiding sweat drenched/sea salt/wind swept hair. Is it just me but everyone else on holiday seems to nail casual hair by the pool but mine just ends up looking a mess! Personally I love a panama - classic & stylish that will add a certain something to any outfit but I'm also seeing the benefit of these visors too. Especially if like me you enjoy ploughing through several books on holiday as there's nothing more annoying than trying to wear a large brimmed hat whilst reclining on your sunlounger & finding you can't get confortable due to the back of the brim bending over.
Back to today & I've got that holiday vibe kind of feeling so I'm going for an all blue theme with this old bardot stripe top & a straw fedora.
Top - Zara
Necklace - Harry Rocks
Fedora - Coco Bay (20% Off With Code MID20)
Jeans - Zara
Ballet Pumps - Massimo Dutti
Hat - Mango £15.99
Top - Monsoon £49
Jeans - Jigsaw £89
Shoes - Carvela £85
So what are your thoughts ladies? Anyone in the market for a new beach bag this year or have a preference for which type of sun hat is best? Perhaps you've found a way to deal with holiday daytime hair that you can share or indeed the brim of your hat when reclining on your sunlounger reading....as always I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Seeing as we've only got a week until we're off to sunnier climates I better start thinking about what to take!
Enjoy your day & I'll be back in the morning.
