Morning ladies for this month's celebrity style steal I wanted to take some inspiration from this outfit worn by Claudia Schiffer. Just a simple everyday outfit, that no doubt consists of mainly designer items including the Isabel Marant dress, that would be so easy for us to copy with pieces either already hanging in our wardrobes or from the high street.
Needless to say it was the pop of leopard print that made the outfit stand out for me, which also makes it the perfect example of how the simplest of looks can be transformed with the right accessories.
Dresses are so incredibly easy to wear as there's no thinking which top or bottom to wear together & of course the fact that you can just pull it out of your wardrobe & throw it on makes them the perfect failsafe outfit when there's no time to think. Plus they can so easily be dressed up or down.
So with Claudia's look as inspiration I thought I'd share my top picks of navy dresses currently available on the high street that would be perfect for teaming with a spot of Bet.
Finally layer any of these dresses with a biker jacket, trench or oversized card, team with ankle boots/trainers/ballet pumps & you're good to go :-)

Starting with this fab tiered jersey dress, which would be ideal styled as Claudia has worn hers. Personally whilst I love a splash of leopard I'm not feeling the love for the yellow boots but imagine teamed with a neutral, tan or black pair & it would be perfect.
This next dress may not appeal to everyone put I just love the sleeve detailing that I just had to feature it in my round up.
Or thinking ahead to warmer days I love the simplicity & pleated detailing of the above maxi. Throw on with trainers & a denim jacket & you've got a great everyday look.
Coolfresh Maxi Dress - currently reduced!
Equally if you find a 'V' neck more flattering then this would be perfect. I'd also personally consider teaming with a statement belt to add a little more interest.
Or if you prefer something more of a midi length then what about this cross over shirt dress.
Or for something a little more casual then the above knot midi dress might be more to your choosing.
Or maybe even the more traditional ¾ sleeve shirt dress.
Then of course there's the good old denim dress. Which a bit like jeans is so versatile & makes a great wardrobe staple. You won't be surprised to hear that I love the ruffle collar & sleeve detailing on the above dress.
But if you're looking for something a little longer in length then the belted shirt dress above might be of interest.
As might the more tailored one above.
Moving onto the statement piece now & the leopard print scarf, which doesn't necessarily have to be in the traditional colourway. I love the one above, which would also look fab teamed with a navy & white breton.
As well as this multi-coloured lightweight one.
Together with the more traditional one.
For the bag I love the simplicity of this black saddle bag with oversized tassel. A great timeless classic you'd still find yourself reaching for in years to come.
Scrunch Ankle Boots - now in the sale!
And whilst these boots might be a little heavy for summer, they're ideal for Spring plus they're reduced :-) I especially love the scrunch effect of these calf boots, ideal for teaming with a slightly longer length dress.
Back to today & seeing as it's Mother's Day & I'm having lunch cooked for me by my gorgeous son I'm bringing out my Marks satin maxi skirt for the occasion, which I've dressed down slightly with a chambray shirt & some new sales bargain flats.

So ladies what are your thoughts? Are you a fan of Claudia's look & how about dresses in general? Are they something you find yourself reaching for time & time again or do you always promise yourself you'll wear them more only to keep reaching for your jeans? As always I love hearing your thoughts.
To all the mother's out there enjoy your special day & to anyone who finds this day tinged with sadness after the loss of a dear mother remember they never really leave your side.
