Happy Sunday ladies. Today I want to talk transitional dressing & focus on an item I wear all year round - the maxi dress. For me it's the perfect item for wearing on it's own or layering up as the weather turns cooler. Plus it makes such a nice change to jeans & gives you the excuse to enjoy a day of swishing around in something floaty :-)
On top of this it couldn't be easier to style - for Autumn simply team with either trainers, ballet pumps, ankle boots or even knee high boots with a block heel & then layer with an oversized cardi that you can either wear undone or belted with a simple leather belt.
Or alternatively team with a biker jacket or blazer & perhaps even think of investing in a statement waist belt that will help transform the dress & make the look your own. Plus you can even throw a crew neck jumper over to give the illusion of a skirt for a different look & of course when winter sets in you can layer with thermals & thick opaque tights.
