Morning ladies, for this month's collaboration with Marks & Spencer I thought we'd talk Mother's Day gift inspiration.
I don't know about you but sometimes the date can creep up on hubby & son so I find it best to give them the odd little nudge to remind them it's fast approaching, as well as offer some ideas on what to buy. After all as hubby so often reminds me he rarely has any downtime so obvious I feel it's my duty to help make the gift buying process as painfree & quick as possible ;-) Plus of course I also need to decide on what treats to buy my own mother & with just over a week to go it's time to get 'clicking the button'.
So without further ado here's some ideas. Starting with this stunning bunch of flowers. What mother wouldn't love to receive this on Mother's Day & what I really love is that you can order your flowers online for delivery on the day itself as well as add some little extras like chocolates &/or bubbles to personalise the gift further.
Or you could also buy this stunning glass vase, which would showcase the bouquet perfectly. I actually have this vase already & it's beauty is in the simplicity of it's design. In fact I love it so much that I'm planning on treating myself to the smaller version, as I just think it looks incredibly elegant & looks far more expensive than the price.
Of course traditionally Mother's Day is all about treating our mum's to a well deserved rest so a teatime treats hamper like the one above would be perfect to send to any mums or mum-in-laws that you're unable to visit on the day itself.
Talking of treats then it's also the perfect time to drop a few hints about some new beauty treatments, such as this essential skincare set, that I've yet to try but have heard great things about the brand.
Or if you want to combine the luxury of bubbles & chocolates with a little bit of pampering then the above pamper gift bag covers all bases & comes beautifully presented.
Personally I also like the idea of gifts that aren't the traditional flowers & chocolates, that offer that little bit of luxury that can be enjoyed all year round. So for me a cashmere jumper would make an ideal gift, as it can be worn time after time.
Likewise this pure silk top, that I just so happen to be wearing today & is so good I've also got it in the black. Take it from me, this is one of those tops that you'll find incredibly useful. In terms of sizing with this, I've gone down a size to a UK6.
Another great gift that can be enjoyed all year long plus you don't have to worry about getting the right size is a silk scarf. I love the colour & pattern of the above one & may just have to pop it on my wish list as this would be perfect for wearing with jeans & a classic white shirt.
Or how about a lace trim nightdress. Again an item that has an element of luxury that you can enjoy wearing throughout the year.
Another idea is a new everyday leather bag that can be used all year long.
Or for a great personalised gift why not frame a special drawing or photo. Again it's something that will last a lifetime & makes a great alternative to a box of chocolates or bouquet of flowers that sadly no matter how beauty/tasty they are won't last for ever.
Another great idea is a jewellery box & I love the look of the one above, which would be perfect for keeping all my trinkets inside so this is definitely going on the ideas list for hubby & son.
Or how about some beauty products such as this scented set.
Or a collection of different fragrances.
Or some new nail polishes to pamper yourself with whilst the Sunday lunch is being cooked whilst you relax ;-)
Back to today & as I mentioned earlier it's all about a new silk blouse, that's so nice I've also added the grey version to my wardrobe! These type of tops are perfect for dressing up or down & ideal under an oversized knit like I'm wearing today, or even under a blazer/biker jacket. I've sized down to a 6 as the tops are quite oversized.
