Faux Fur Accessories & WIWT

The countdown to the big day is almost here & amidst all the preparations & last minute present wrapping/card writing/baking/food shopping (delete as appropriate!) it's time to put the finishing touches to our outfits & what better way than to embrace one the season biggest trends - faux fur!

I just love faux furs & have now got a few in different colours, styles & lengths as they're great for both dressing up or down, adding a bit of glamour & style to the simplest of outfits, not to mention warmth & can also be worn a variety of ways to.

So looking at stoles first, I'm going to start with something a little bit different & this patchwork faux fur collar.  I just love the colours of this not the mention the length as its extremely versatile.  Plus it would be a great way to bring a little black dress or trouser suit to life.

If the first stole is a bit to busy for your liking then you may prefer this colour block scarf.  A great neutral that could so easily be worn with black, navy, grey & of course denim.  I can really seen this been worn with a tuxedo/black blazer just on the one shoulder - so chic!

Back out there again with this ASOS multi striped stole, which when teamed with all black & red lips as shown below certainly creates an impact.

Moving onto plain stoles now with the black faux fur from Whistles.  Again a great versatile length & width meaning it can be worn as a stole, wrapped around the neck like a snood or even teamed with a strapless dress or jumpsuit to add not only a bit of individual style but that all important warmth!  Plus of course it could be draped over your shoulders if worn over a dress/top or even a jacket or coat & fastened with a brooch.

For all you fellow Bet lovers then Whistles also do the stole in animal print.  A great idea for those of you that love the idea of a leopard print coat but aren't brave enough.  Team this with a plain black/grey/navy/camel coat & you could almost be walking the cobbles of Weatherfield ;-)

Or how about cream?  I keep seeing these stunning winter white coats that I'd so love to add to my wardrobe but know it would only end one way.......red wine spilt down the front, sitting on chewing gum, a rogue flake of melted chocolate or oil from the car door you name it it's bound to happen to me.  But this faux fur tippet would be a great alternative.  I just love how they've styled it below with a chunky cream polo neck & leather effect leggings.

Or if you're having a grey love-in this season then you're going to love this stunning stole from Ted Baker, which could either be worn as a collar to a coat/jacket as shown below or on the one shoulder with a simple shift dress & stunning heels to create a real impact Christmas Day.

Now I've not seen a hot pink stole before & of course having now seen one means I can't get it out of my mind.....something that little bit different that would brighten up the darkest of winter days.  Plus if you don't want to wear it as a collar then you can also adapt them to look like a snood to.  Simply cross one end over the other and tuck the loose ends up & voila!

Or if you fancy a simple snood then I'm loving this monochrome one from River Island.  Perfect for snuggling in come the colder weather & it will look amazing dressed down with a parka as much as it would a tailored or boyfriend coat.

This year there's also lots of faux fur bags around.  Now a lot of them I think resemble an oversized fluffy pencil case that seemed to be around when I was growing up but I just had to feature this camouflage cross body bag.  I just love the colours & think it would look amazing teamed with a simple blazer or reefer jacket.

Finally what about a pom pom beanie, another huge success this season.  I've already featured some stunning ones from Amelia Jane (see here) but if you fancy giving the trend a try but don't want to break the bank then how about these from ASOS.  Come the snow & rain these are not only going to keep the heat in but look super stylish to!

Finally here's what I'm wearing today.  Off out for a Christmas get together at my Mum's & all the family.  I can't wait for all the cuddles & giggles I'm going to have with my nephews!

    1. Aww thanks Lynne. You can't beat a bit of faux fur can you?! I'm seriously tempted by a couple I've featured on here as they're great just for teaming with a plain jumper plus they keep you warm too!
