New Beauty Buys + WIW - Separates

my midlife fashion, caudalie resveratrol eye set, caudalie vinexpert dietary supplements

Morning ladies today I thought I'd share with you my latest beauty buys as well as telling you about some new products that I've been trying.

Starting with a couple of products from Caudalie.  Firstly their Resveratrol Eye Set, which contains a full size Resveratrol Eye Lifting Balm together with smaller trial size versions of their Resveratrol Firming Serum & Resveratrol Face Lifting Soft Cream.  Designed to lift & smooth the under eye area as well as reducing puffiness & lifting the eye lids the balm is perfect if like me you're looking to achieve a more useful look.  Plus like all of their eye creams it is also designed to be used on your lip area too.  So perfect for targeting the more delicate areas of our skin that can at times be forgotten.  I'd describe the balm as in between a gel & a cream, that soaks in quickly & doesn't leave my skin feeling heavy or greasy, & of course is fragrance free & full of natural & environmentally friendly ingredients.

Now I've yet to try the firming serum & face lifting cream as I'm saving these for when we go on holiday in the summer as they're the perfect size for popping into my toiletry bag.  Plus they will be perfect for giving sun drenched skin a much need plump & boost.  You never know I might come back not only with a healthy glow but also looking younger too seeing as they're designed to plump, smooth & tighten wrinkles!

Having dipped my toe into the skin, hair & nail supplement I'm now totally convinced this is one tablet worth taking daily both in terms of the appearance of my skin & the health of my nails.  So I was keen to try Caudalie's Vinexpert Dietary Supplements that are described as 'youth from within', which aim to reduce wrinkles, moisturise & firm the skin, with visible results in just a matter of weeks.  I was sent the smaller two week pack, but it is also available in a 3 month pack here .  Prior to been sent the supplements to try I'd already stocked up on these skin, hair & nails caplets when they were on special offer but after taking the Caudalie tablets for a couple of weeks I'd definitely be interested in buying the bigger pack & seeing the full results as I love their products & can't see that these would be any different.

This next product is perfect if you're looking for something that targets wellness & weight loss as well as energy boosting.  I was previously sent this to try back in January & I've loved it so much I've since bought a couple of extra packs.  With winter dragging on so long this year I've found it to be the perfect pick me up.

charlotte tilbury the rebel luxury eye palette

After treating myself last month to a new blusher & lipstick I decided this month to invest in a new eye colour.  My make up of choice is Charlotte Tilbury & one of my favourite colour chameleons which was a lovely khaki green was perfect for enhancing the natural green of my eyes & making my eyes stand out.  Unfortunately this has now been discontinued so I was keen to find something similar that would equally make my eyes pop & the above palette does just that.  On top of that it's perfect for creating a smokey eye, which I love to wear & also happens to go really well with the lipstick & blusher I bought last month (see here) so win, win :-)

jo malone london black cedarwood & juniper body wash

My other recent beauty treat has been the above body wash.  This is one of my favourite Jo Malone fragrances that they've only recently brought out in the matching body wash.  I find you only need a couple of pumps of this on a body sponge in the shower so whilst pricey these really do last a good while & it also means you don't need to use as much perfume.

The final products I want to share with you are by a brand I'd not previously heard of called Paula's Choice.  You can learn all about the brand here but in a nutshell their aim is to provide skincare that's not tested on animals & keeps its promises.  They even offer a 30 day back money guarantee, which to me says a lot!

I was sent their Resist Anti-Aging 5% AHA Exfoliant which is applied either once or twice daily after cleansing & toning & before your normal serum &/or moisturiser & is designed to fight signs of aging as well as remove the build up of dead skin cells, leaving softer & brighter skin.  This can then be used with their Resist Weekly Resurfacing Treatment.  Which like the exfoliant is a leave on exfoliant that contains 10%  glycolic acid (AHA) & is used once a week of an evening to leave radiant, dramatically younger skin.  With a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles & sun damage as well as an improvement in texture, colour & skin tone & is also applied after cleansing & toning followed by your normal serum &/or moisturiser.

I've been using both these products for a couple of weeks now & I can definitely see an improvement  & brightening of my skin tone & possibly a fading to the sun spots on my face.  Again easy to apply, quick to absorb into the skin & despite also applying my hyaluronic acid & moisturiser my skin didn't feel weighed down with products.  I definitely plan on replenishing both these bottles when the current ones run out.

The third product I was sent was their Clinical Ceramide-Enriched Moisturiser.  A night cream designed to tackle signs of aging that is suitable for all skin types & contains 5 ceramides, vitamin C & 0.1% retinol. As with all three products this soaks into my skin quickly & doesn't leave a layer or any stickiness.  Again I've been pleasantly surprised by the results & that takes a lot as I was really happy with my night cream.  In fact I'm so impressed by the brand that I would definitely consider trying some of their other skincare to so if you're on the lookout for something new then definitely take a peek here, after all with a 30 day money back guarantee you've got nothing to loose!

Although as much as I love my sparkle come this afternoon when we're chilling on the sofa eating an Easter egg or two my sparkly shoes will be swapped to these beauties.

I absolutely love my sheepskin slippers in winter & when home they're rarely off my feet but come the warmer months find them too hot & instead walk around barefoot.  But that was before I was sent these, which are much more airy for Spring & even contain gel infused memory foam.  Plus being girly are ideal for letting your toe nails dry & admiring your manicure :-)

  1. Excellent choice on using PC products. Can't remember the name and I'm not getting of bed to look but I use the retinol product. I get glycolic from alpha h.

    1. How long have you been using the Paulas Choice products for? Is it just the retinol product you use? I'm really impressed by the products I've tried & definitely want to try some of their others.
      Have a lovely Easter.
