Hola ladies. Today I thought we'd talk holiday make up & what I bring on holiday. I don't know about you but as my face gets more colour & the hotter the climate I don't want to be wearing a full face of make up, especially if the climate is humid. So for holidays I adapt & simplify my make up routine. As let's face it when you're on holiday there's so many more enjoyable things to be doing like cocktails before dinner than spending ages applying your make up ;-)
So starting with a new product that I've previously mentioned on the blog that was never not coming away with me. Since wearing the Hollywood Flawless Filter I've had so many people comment on how well I look & it really does gives a glorious glow to your skin. Plus it's lovely & light to wear & instantly sinks into your skin. As my skin will go darker from the sun whilst away I've actually bought another bottle that's a couple of shades darker to accommodate this. Then when back home & the tan begins to fade I'll mix this with my lighter shade until swapping back to my normal colour once the holiday is a distant memory.
Then for any blemishes & a little extra coverage where needed I apply the above concealer. Just a tip I picked up recently when my friend had her make over & that was that we were advised to apply this to the back of our hand & then just use your middle finger to gently tap onto the face for a lighter more natural application.
Then if I want a little more definition to my brows I'll apply the above eyebrow pencil, which also has a brilliant brush that's perfect for using on both your eyebrows & lashes.
And then I'll apply the above highlighter just on the tops of my cheekbones & a small amount down the centre of my nose, again applying & blending in with my finger tips.
For holidays I always use the above bronzer which is so easy to apply straight from the bullet, which I blend in with a brush, such as this one.
Again whilst on holiday I generally don't use my powder blushers & instead use the above. So much easier & quicker & on sunkissed skin I prefer the consistency & texture.
Then I'll apply a little of the above eye shadow to my eyelids & blend using my finger tips.
One thing I have to apply otherwise I feel quite naked without is my eyeliner. I have blue/green eyes so if I want to make them appear more green I'll apply the above Colour Chameleon to both my lower & upper lash line, which I'll then blend with this brush.
Followed by the above eyeliner which is brilliant for smudging around my inner lash line.
If however, I'm looking to make my eyes appear more blue then I use the above Colour Chameleon with the below eye liner.
Then I'll finish my eyes with this fab new mascara, that is so much better than the orginal formula as it simply doesn't smudge.
And finally for my lips I'll apply this nude lip pencil for a little added definition & also to help my lip gloss stay on longer.
Finishing with a layer of this lip gloss - that is a lot more sheer than it looks!
Finally if I'm wearing a short dress I'll apply a little of this shimmer body cream to the fronts of my shins & blend in.
Back to today & here's what I'm planning on wearing.
